The perfect sentence to end chapter 3, btw... PERFECT. It gives sense to the story. It makes Lloyd not oblivious and stupid, it makes you understand why it is so hard for him tp acknowledge his feelings.

BtW, you have some typos, like how Collet still think that people blame HIM for the Sylvarant Distaters? And missed letters - no pro, happens with me all the time.
