Oh, splendid! This is a wonderful story-I just hope that George is still talking to Percy after this. Because if anything does go wrong, Percy will get the blame for it from the family.

Poor Percy. Pompous as he is, I always felt a little sorry for him. However much of a prat he seemed in Books 5 & 6, I always remembered how concerned he was about Ginny during the whole Chamber of Secrets debacle and how frightened he appeared when Ron came out of the lake during the Triwizard Tournament. I think you have the "measure of the man" (to quote Sirius Black) with this story. You showed the humanity in an unsympathetic character, which is not an easy thing to do. Well done!

I really liked your use of the present tense here, even though I usually prefer past, because I thought it made the whole thing seem more realistic and hard-hitting. We were there with Percy the whole way and experienced the emotions as he did, and I thought that was really great writing. Also, the really long sentences and lack of punctuation at the beginning I thought was excellent - it really made me realise how nervous Percy was about having to confront his brother, which of course made me anticipate how George would react... very effective! My only problem (apart from the use of jackass, but I saw someone else already mentioned that) is how abruptly it ends. Although I think that a quick ending does fit with the feel of the rest of the fic, I couldn't help but think it was a little too abrupt for me. But hell, the rest of it more than made up for that one tiny detail!
