I usuallly don't like non-K/R ships, but this one got me; I have read it at least three time now. The angst is so thick you couldn't cut it with a chain saw. And what happened to Kim - wow, just too brutal. But she still had two good friends through it all. Overall, a very mice piece of story-telling.

Dude, I hate you - this has become my new favourite thing in the world. Why I hate you is because I started to keep this open in the background as "I" write and alternate between re-reading it and writing... I've practically memorized it by now, but I still read it. Again and again.

Okay, the goodies: you capture Kim's personality. Like, with a 100% accuracy. For all her goodness and positive qualities/attributes, she can be extremely short-sighted and selfish when it comes to what she wants or desires or thinks she wants/desires. So far, I've seen two kinds of beliefs held almost constant in the Kim Possible'verse, one: Kim and Ron will eventually break up, and two: this will be because Kim will cheat on Ron. They're equally plausible, and that you ventured into both was capitol, truly.

Secondly, I myself have been on the Ron side of the deal, I've been through a similar thing (only no regret and no arranged second love) and I have to say, a very accurate portrayal of how some long distance relationships deteriorate and often over gross misjudgments of character. I also liked the interplay of 20/20 retrospect and "at the time" perspective - it comes off as a very astute character study, not just the character of Kim Possible, but of many different people at once.

The gradual degeneration of Kim's relationships in favor of the new boyfriend is a typical symptom of these situations. While you handled it well, I think it kinda peaks at the "I was doing things for him that I had never done with Ron, never dreamed of doing" bit. I'm like "Were you, now?" Having done those myself, I gotta say, spot-on. Just frakkin' bullseye.

Contrary to what another reviewer said, I didn't think Kim was unconscious during the main events of Bobby's parties: she was just not conscious enough to register what was happenning. Which is, I think, worse.

Oh, and before I forget, I liked that you made it so that Ron didn't just go, "okay, she's back, bye Mon, nice knowing ya" which makes this story sublime. Because without consequences to our actions, things get very confused...

Beautiful, I enjoyed it greatly, the flow of the story was flawless, It was perfect, slow and wistful, the introspecting narrating was brilliant. I guess if anything were to happen to their relationship, this is the best reality for it. The starting was classic, I've been longing for those. It's just like a once upon a time, ah I haven't heard that in like forever. The whole situation wasn't that depressing to be honest, the story was interacting to us and depicted the situation perfectly. But from Kim's side of the story it was quite sad, the way she was really penitent about what she has done, she threw away what was important just like that, Ron and Monique together, that's actually really brilliant. How you portray their support to Kim and all, and most likely, my opinion, Monique and Ron would be like the best match in this situation, and the odds are much more likely too. Love the idea of Ron taking the lead on missions, probably built a lot of his self esteem, the last part at the dance was just melancholy, yet beautiful. This is one of the best non K/R fic I've read on depicting a wistful longing and remorseful break up yet. But what can I do? at the same time I'm sad for Kim, I'm really happy for Ron and Monique, one of the best mix of emotions I had in a very long time. I guess, it was a mistake after all.

That story was bloody brilliant... It is so like the Kim Possible before season 3 and 4 who was all hotties and what-not, realistically showing that not even Princess is perfect hehe

Wow some latent aggression towards KP. Two months get served at frat parties kinda tough.

You do write really well and I was thoroughly engaged in the story, even though I thought Bobby should have been castrated for his behavior or that it would have been nice to see some the the pain Ron put on him, I am glad you didn't do what most KP fan fic writers do. That is have are boy the young Stoppable suck it up and take her back.

I was good to see the Mystic Monkey Man happy and this line "No, you're not... but thank you for trying." tell the whole story of why Ron is KP best friend and knows her. Good writing.

I really liked this and I was glad to see Ron and Kim didn't get back together. The ending was ambiguous enough to allow Kim fans the opening to create their own Happy Ending for her while Ron fans didn't have to watch him fall back into the old routine. Really nice job.

amazingly good story, especially if this is the first time you've written in this style

Wow! This is the best RonMon story I've ever read (which is really saying something since there aren't a lot of RonMon stories)! Ever since Monique's first appearance in the show, I thought that Ron and Monique would make a cute couple. Your style of writing was so good that it twisted my emotions throughout the story: I was sad, angry, happy, relieved, etc.

I would have liked to have read more about Ron and Monique's realization that they loved each other and the moments they shared other than on missions (e.g. going to a wrestling match and cheering for their favorite wrestler). BUT...this story was meant to focus on Kim more so than on Ron, and you did just that.

So again, this was a great story! You did a wonderful job!

I hate this story but at the same time I absolutely love it. I hate that it is just so freaking depressing, but I love the way it is written. I just couldn't stop reading.

Great one-shot. Kim has always seemed to lack the ability to see beyond the physical aspects off a person, not being able to see the truth about someone until it is too late. Though a Ron/Monique is okay, for this story it is far better for them to be together than to have Kim be with Ron. Though Kim deserved what she received in the story, Ron remained by her side as a true friend, one of his greatest qualities. I really enjoyed this story and am glad that I read it. Great job.

It was horrible what bobby you wonder if he didn't do this to her would she realized what a mistake kim that monique and ron thing was beautful made kim/ron fans that's the price you pay when you leave your ex and BGF alone together.
