Loved this! Your writing is wonderful and flows really well. There was really great insight concerning Zoro's initiation (or lack thereof) into the crew. You brought up a lot of the things that I've loved about the captain and first mate's relationship, and put into words some of the reasons why I like to think their connection is different and/or special.

I also really enjoyed the humor as well. That mental image of the lady flying into the distant horizon makes me chuckle.

I love stories like this, that depict a relationship from another's point of view. And the descriptions you had Nami use were great choices, from Sanji being similar to the cigarettes he smokes, to Nami being that bit untrustworthy like gold reflected in the sun. Beautiful prose, funny story idea, and nice use of betting! The characters were in-character, even Zoro's unconscious possessiveness of his captain. This truly was like seeing just another day on Going Merry. Thanks for writing and sharing this!

This was hilarious and adorible. I've always loved the Zoro/Luffy dynamic, and you did a great job with it (as well as Nami's general outlook on it). Not sure how I missed this when it was posted, but I'm glad I found you on a rec list. Favorited. ;)

I'm like a million years late to the party, but I happened to be catching up on One Piece this week and I got into the Zoro/Luffy because-well, just because. And this was rec'd at the Zoro/Luffy ship manifesto on LiveJournal, so I read it and-

This is just-I have no words for how hilarious this is, and how much I love the "enemy vanquished" bit at the end, and this is kind of short (which is a relief, actually XD), but oh, MAN did you pack an enormous amount of insight into some of these scenes. (I love your Nami, and I love your Zoro, and you have the others down so well, too.)

And, anyway, just know that I like this a lot.
