This story is so amazing. I really loved how you didn't shy away from touching darker topics like murder, rape, abuse, etc. And I actually loved how gritty it all was. It was so different from what I expected (your little blurb doesn't give anything away!) and I found myself completely enraptured by your story. So dark and twisted and amazing. Wonderful job at writing it!

And your characterizations were amazing as well. Although I did initially feel like Kagome-Inuyasha's relationship moved really, really fast, in hindsight, I realized that we never actually got like an explicit time frame of their relationship (aside from chapter 40 wherein you mention its been around 2 yrs since they met). And at first I was a little confused wondering why you'd be so ambiguous about dates/ timelines but as I kept on reading, I think it actually worked really well, for the tone of the story. I mean, in the dark and depressed world your characters inhabit, everyday must probably feel like crap and dreary, especially when it came to someone in Inuyasha's situation who was drowning with his past; and hence dates/ timelines probably weren't all that necessary for them to remember because days just sort of jumbled together in how similar they were. Idk not sure if it makes sense or I'm properly articulating what I wanna say, but the bottom line is that it worked for your story.

And I really enjoyed Kouga's twist in the end. I honestly did not see that coming and I really liked it. I think your whole plot-line was really nicely done and I enjoyed it. Although I did find Rin's sudden turn at the end in this epilogue to be quite unexpected! Ah well, I supposed what goes around comes around, as Kagura learned.

Hey there! Oh my god, I just got back to reading some good fanfictions and I noticed you completed this story some years ago! Gah, life has left me so behind. I missed like 10 chapters!
Anyway, I just finished binge-reading this story from the beginning and girl, stop toying with my emotions! I am so sad this had to end. But at the same time, I am happy. So so happy. Nearly everyone was pretty relatable in their own way, and the Inuyasha/Kagome here was just perfectly described. They made me fall on love too. Congratulations on completing this story! It's one of those stories I'd read all over again in the future.

Awesome story, great story telling. You should consider turning this into an independent book.

This is right good so far! Really unique and enjoyable, not to mention fresh! I like both Inu and Kag's characters so far and am interested in reading more!

I haven't read Inuyasha fanfic in years, but a good friend recommended this story to me. I am very glad she did. The plotline and characterizations were phenomenal. I highly enjoyed the twists and turns - kept me on edge until the very end! I also liked how perfectly flawed each character was. The juxtaposition between the characters' personal vulnerabilities and the description of the city (especially Tokyo at night) was wonderful and very effective. I loved how everyone started off as separate and unconnected but ultimately became inextricably linked in this giant drama and suspense. Finally, I loved the ending (chapter 40). It was exactly how a satisfactory, consummate ending should be. The moment between Sesshoumaru and Rin was particularly poignant and rightfully realistic.
