I adore this story. It puts a giant lump in my throat every time: Erik is so sweet and vulnerable, so desperate to please. And Christine actually stops and thinks and considers her actions and his before it's all too terribly late.
Anyway, a lovely story, with too much emotional depth to be just fluff.

When I can't stand the suspense of SCI anymore, I re-read this lovely story of a wiser, more empathetic Christine. I love how she feels the push-pull of Erik's adoration and is at times alarmed by his intensity and yet touched by his vulnerability.

What a touching story. I love how Christine takes the time to think through all her options and considers what her life would be like without her Angel. A truly mature take on our favorite heroine! Brava! I also absolutely love the image you painted of Erik excited to go on the second walk with Christine! Very cute! Thank you for this - perfect story for this time of year!

You described this as "fluff" but it it far more than that. I'm so glad to have run across this little story. You've done a wonderful job with a Leroux-ish Erik and a shy but thoughtful Christine. Loved the inclusion of the Persian and his concern for Christine, and how you've not been cruel to Raoul. Superb writing style, excellent scenery and description, believable dialogue and characterization. Bravo! I shall go rummage through your other offerings. :)

Erik is so adorable! As much as I want Christine to accept him I do understand that the mask would be a little creepy. I don't mind his face though. If I were her, I'd cut my losses and live in Erik's kingdom of music and darkness and devotion! And the PASSION! OMYGAWSH HE LOOVES HEEER!

I consider myself one the lucky few, who gets to enjoy your stories for the first time TWICE. One time while reading it, of course, but then, while translating them I get to re-live and savour them anew. It’s fascinating to see how the story comes to life in your own mother tongue, unfurling under new light.
Unfortunately, not every story is fit for translation. The structures of our languages are just too different. But your personal style of writing transfers extremely well into Russian. You don’t have Slavic roots, by any chance?
