Hehe. This is really fun. Loved how Dean was able to navigate through this one to find what Sam needed. And the banter, especially at the end, was priceless!

Hehe me being Canadian I celebrate Thanksgiving in October! But that's besides the point. I really loved this, you put a cute twist on a lot of thanksgiving stories I've read. Good job.

My favourite part of all that would have to be the end bit. So funny. Awesome story. And could someone tell me, what is thanksgiving? I'm Australian, so I have no idea.

Well done!

That was really cute, thanks! Gravy flavored potato chips? Yuck! :-)

It's just simply too bad we didn't get to see something like this in the series...the week after the Pilot is a largely unmapped area that's begun to pique my curiosity lately...

...and this is just too sweet and painful and...fitting...

There's no Thanksgiving where I live, but the concept is universal. Damn it, though. Dean and Sam need something like this in canon _now_! Fans demand hugs and gratitude and gratuitous shots of the boys being brotherly and sweet!

Wouldn't that be a perfect 'parting gift' from Kripke to the fans...? ;)

Aww, how sweet! Dean is the best big brother ever, and Sam's reaction was so perfect. :)

"Dean, I'm touched."

Dean smirked and pulled the car out of the gas station onto the empty holiday street. "Yeah, well, you've always been a little touched. Pass the Turkey Jerky, turkey."

*g* Nice story. :) I felt so bad for Sam, and what he's lost, but it was good to see his spirits lifted at the end. Good job showing us this little moment in their lives.

Great seasonal story. It really worked for me and was sweet. I love stories that explores Dean's chick flicky side because it's so easy to imagine him doing something like that to make Sam feel better.

Favorite parts:

"Jess-" began Sam, and Dean focussed on his brother's voice without more than a slightly raised eyebrow, eyes not leaving the road. Sam hadn't said her name while he was concious for over a week. Whatever he was ready to say, Dean was listening.

"Look, Sam," said Dean. "I know that's not the point. I can't tell you how sorry I am about Jess. But I just wanted to let you know... I uh." Dean paused awkwardly. "I'm thankful you're my pain-in-the-ass little brother."

Really nice story. Thanks for sharing it for this holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
A-blackwinged-bird chapter 1 . 11/20/2006
Very cute. The angst whore in me would've loved to see Sam cry, but Dean was very true to character and this whole story was still very sweet.

Awesome job, Kitty,

Yay for thanksgiving! (and lots of food... oh, and especially, my first 3 days break since I started college :D) I think the producers should write a holiday into an ep, any holiday. Really, the only mention they've made of one is pilot, where they had halloween.

Well, I'm not American, but I can appreciate the sentiment. Nicely done!

This year is my first Thanksgiving so I'm very excited and this totally put me in the seasonal spirit :D

That was nice!
Evergreene chapter 1 . 11/20/2006
What a lovely blend of angst and humour. I love the idea of the 'greeting card' moment being a step ahead of the customary 'chick-flick,' lol!
