This has such a great start and idea! I love the story already and I can say some bad thing are going to happen because of this Little Leaf girl. This may never be continued but I enjoyed the first three chapters anyway.

It's unfortunate that you never got to continue this story ]:
For it's not everyday that people ever tackle KandaLena from this angle (even though it should be one of the most obvious!). I have yet to read a story where these two bite each other's arm off from the get-go... at least a decently written one. So when I finally find one, what happens? You disappear D;

Ahh, but I'll just jump right into it... I love how you opened up the story. With Kanda arguing with the finders and the lack of respect he has for friendship and death (and people in general)...It really makes one wonder what he truly fights for then... But anyways, that scene really set up the tone for what kind of character he is at the beginning and the changes he'll go through to the end.

This whole idea of Lenalee going on her first mission and Kanda having to supervise her make for such an interesting dynamic that I almost cried when you stopped before it had even begun! You inject the right amount of humor in their interactions but best of all, you still manage to keep them in character. EXCEPT there were some OOC moments... for instance, when Lenalee had the urge to kiss him in his sleep (right on their sort-of first meeting too, no less!) I get that she wasn't really 'herself' right then but still, his less-than-pleasant reception towards her should have repelled her enough despite his 'beautiful' looks. When you interact with attractive people, while you do notice their looks... if their attitude is ugly, it really does change the way you view them - like for every action they do, you just can't help but think the worst of it so the last thing Lenalee should have been thinking of was his pretty appearance... she could have thought of it in passing, sure. But at this stage in their relationship, I don't think she would have given it much thought.

Second OOC moment was when Kanda was pulled in 'slightly' by her naivety during the Akuma fight. I'm not saying he's immune to aww-moments but again, at this stage, he's probably already made enough assumptions about her that he'd be too proud to think anything opposite of his 'concrete'..."facts." As a writer, you should always remember that development in BOTH the character and their interaction is key to making any story look good! (and better). So if you ever do miraculously come back, I do hope you keep that in mind. All in all, this story had a LOT of potential to be something great.

Too bad this one hasn't been updated in a long while since it really is a great story to this point.

The first fight went well and helped to show a side of Kanda that couldn't be easily seen. Also just like the overall development for the two of them. Kanda can just be that way and its tough to get to the truth of things.

Will add my hopes for this one to be continued one day. If not will still say its been fun. The arrival in North America has some potential for a good adventure.

I can definitely say this is one of the better KandaLenalee stories out there.

Maybe it's the way they snipe at each other that makes them so darn cute, but whatever it ism you've captured it perfectly here; I can actually imagine something like this happening (like, as a flashback or something, yeah). P

Also, you're grasp of the English language is exceedingly good; I can't really give any pointers, save for the fact that some of the sentences feel a mite short; there's places where a semi-colon might work better - keep the prose flowing smoothly and all that. Apart from that, though, it's all great. D

I'll definitely add this to my alerts list.

Oh my God,, I LOVE this. Why are the good fics always being forgotten? (NOT abandoned, I hope.)

But really, this is great. I particularly love Komui, he's dead-on. Reever's great too, and especially Kanda - I'm amazed with how IC he is, because that's hard to do.

(And yes, he's in CANADA! Watch me search the country, now.)
