this is one of the best Slyrherin harry fanfics i have read. i like how Draco and Daphne replace Hermione and Ron. most other fanfictions with Draco only ever have him as harry's friend.

I absolutely love the idea of Slytherin Harry, but for some reason none of the stories I've read so far satisfied me. And then I found this. I really like the fact that it's a one-shot with not many details but straight to the point. I think that it's great that Harry wants to prove to the world that the Slytherins are more than what everyone thinks. I'm glad that you wrote Harry and Draco as friends and not lovers, and the motive behind Harry's heroic action was lovely and very Slytherin-like.

WHY? Why Draco Malfoy? I like Slytherin!Harry stories, but NOT when bloody Malfoy is somehow his best friend. Why not Theodore Nott? (And don't even THINK about making a pun there)
That is a character you can work with, as we know very little about his personality other than being quiet and private, it's not too hard to accept him as something other than an insufferable, nasty little git. UNLIKE a certain blonde haired ferret. Malfoy may have matured by the end of the second war after he realised that his family stood to lose as much at the hands of his precious Dark Lord as the "mudbloods" and everyone else, but at school there was no way his and Harry's personalities could do anything but clash, no matter what house Harry was in. At best they could just about tolerate each other, maybe, IF they shared a house and had to.
I mean, I think Ron is an absolute git and that Gryffindor is seriously overrated, but I'd take that over Slytherin Harry with Malfoy as Ron's replacement! Again, I'd like to point you towards Theodore Nott. Or even Blaise Zabini, though he seems too conceited and aloof to truly be friends with anyone. Kind of like ferret boy, only slightly LESS unpleasant.
Is it fangirlism? Silly teenage female writers thinking the actor who played him in the films is hot, so they delude themselves into thinking the character is at all likeable? If so (and I know it is in many cases, if not this one) that is INCREDIBLY shallow reasoning.
Anyway, rant over. Other than your inexplicable decision to make Malfoy the thing Harry would miss most, I quite enjoyed this.
7/10. Would have been more, but points were deducted for... Well, you know what for.
