Really cool story and I loved your Jess!

Thank you for sharing, it was refreshing to read a AU season 1 story that didn't follow S1 to a tee. This line in the final chapter threw me a bit (swap brother in law for father in law) but otherwise very well written :-)

Well, I gotta say this is shaping up to be a fine story. The dialog and inflections between the brother are spot on. The tone is great too, serious but with a bit of light humor. CIA, really? The lack of humor is what I miss the most about the most recent reasons of Supernatural. Of course, hunting poltergeist as opposed to stopping the apocalypse would put on in an entirely different frame of mind. Sigh. I love Sam, I really do, but I could never understand his refusal to acknowledge the events surrounding his birth, at least while he was a Sanford. But, back on topic, I'm really looking forward to this story. Something tells me there's going to be a few twists and turns along the way.

Wow. As I was reading this story, I just kept on expecting Jess to die. Really glad she didn't. And the portrayal of Sam and Dean's relationship was amazing.

I really enjoyed this. I love that Jess got to live and that she and Sam got their life together. It wasn't all perfect, but it's too unrealistic when it is. I like this version much better. And it's fitting to me that John was the one to go in the end. He may not have planned it, but if anyone had to, it should have been him and Mary that paid the ultimate price in all of this, not their kids.
