Not too shabby, to say the least.

An interesting alternate take on Danny and Sam's relationship, some intriguing new issues for them to deal with- as if Sam's pregnancy wasn't bad enough, they've got Vlad getting involved on top of everything else- and a highly intriguing plot overall.

Seriously, are any lows that Vlad WON'T stoop to? As if trying to overshadow the entire town to get elected Mayor wasn't bad enough, now he's attempting to get a RAPIST out of jail just to hurt Danny?

It's official; he's a manipulative bastard.

However, I do have one fundamental problem with the story; everything happens too rapidly. While I acknowledge that Danny's more withdrawn nature may have helped Sam get over any residual 'fears' of men left by her rape- since he wasn't actually after anything PHYSICAL, she found it easier to be relaxed around him-, I still feel that their relationship reached a point where she was comfortable with him spending the night a bit faster than would be expected, and we didn't even really get a chance to see how she interacted with Danny when he was 'Phantom' before she learned who he really was.

Still, since it allows the plot to move along rapidly, I'm prepared to let those issues slide and focus on the issue here.

If nothing else, something tells me that Vlad isn't going to give up on using Greg THAT easily, to say nothing of the potential problems that might occur when some of Danny's OTHER enemies learn about Sam...
