She deserved that. She really does. So many stories blame Jess for everything, or at least, most of the screw-ups and mistakes between the two. He's accused of being a bad boyfriend because Lorelai compares him to Dean and finds him lacking (he doesn't call all the time, doesn't make clear plans for each time Rory will be free, doesn't try to make anyone other than Rory like him), and yet there were mistakes on Rory's side as well. She flirted with Jess for roughly a year, kissed him, and hated that he dated someone else, all while dating Dean and proclaiming that she loved him. She wasn't the one who ended things with Dean. Then while with Jess, she expected him to treat her the same as Dean, and yelled at him when he didn't. Jess worked two jobs and went to school (at least occasionally), but she never seemed concerned about when he slept (or if) and why he felt he had to do those things. I like that this Jess seems to have gotten over her to some degree, and that he forced her to see her mistake. There was a lot done with Jess making Rory feel too much, and that she wasn't ready for him, or what she felt. I think a lot of that was true. If she had been more mature, they would not have had the problems they did.

Jess smirks and says, "Because you chose him, and you were wrong. You don't get to forget that."

Amazing. I always thought Rory never deserved Jess once he got his shit together.

Ooh he's mean but I like it. I love Rory, I do, she is a Gilmore after all, but she was an idiot and she was wrong and Jess was perfect. Well, not perfect, the boy had flaws, obviously, but still, he was the right choice. Glad he got to have his revenge there, this was so good.

WIN. i absolutely loved it. i hated rory ever since the end of season 3, so this was just amazing for me haha she totally deserves something like this to happen. i really liked the way you talked about logan getting distant from rory - that was great writing.
