When looking at the word count, one would think 'too long' but you made it so enjoyable I was not even aware of it's length. (I am ashamed of myself for reading it in one go, bedrest is overrated).
I really like how you have manage Hitomi's and Rutilus' interactions, you have manage to make it look as if Hitomi was in contact with someone with visual and audio feed rather than an omniscient presence . Also, being able to not make Hitomi look too crazy is a challenge on and in itself. Finally, making Rutilus have common ground with Hitomi to some extent by not being 100% all-knowing is just precious.
I look forward to reading the second part.

I'm loving your story more and more each day! But I was surprised to see that I'm already in chapter 20, the story ends in chapter 27, and I feel that there's still lots about to happen. I saw the sequel, but it's unfinished. Huhu please please continue it. I hope and pray that you find the time, inspiration and motivation to continue this wonderful story. Huhu my heart will break if the story's just left hanging. :(

You know what? This is a fanfiction. Even if it WAS close to a book, who cares? If the people liked the book, it shouldn't be that big of a deal-I mean, it's a FANFICTION. I'm not in any way trying to take away from your story (I really like it, by the way), but how do people expect complete and total uniqueness to a story anyways? Everything has already been done. All books and stories have a formula to follow. When a person truly writes something different, people end up NOT liking it. Don't take any of what they said to heart, dearest. It's just a part of writing. Never compare your writing to others, even if they're similar. It doesn't matter. Especially not in the form of a fanfiction (not that I'm saying fanfictions aren't hard to write, because they're just as hard. The only difference is: the rules about what they can include is much more lax.) Think about this: there are stories in fanfiction that are filth-nothing but sex and abuse and murder. You actually have a good story. And if it's similar to a book that people seemed to really like, isn't that kind of good? Especially since you'd never read it. It just means you thought of something good. I enjoy reading this story, so don't let them make you feel bad.

Okay so I haven't read the rest of this story though I started when you first posted. I went inactive for about five years and now that I am back I hunger for good stories to read. Yours are all very good and the reason why you are the Number One active AU writer for the Escaflowne Fandom. I have read not of your others and Simple Walk Home and Love Potion are my favorites. I decided to give this story another try since as I know it has a sequel it isn't one that only has a few chapters and never gets finished. (I myself my even be guilty of that in the past.)
It's good. As good as I remember.
And reading your message at the top for the first time made me sad. I know I was one of the ones that mentioned the similarities between the stories. I know from me it was never meant to be hurtful or stress you out. We write what we wish to see often times and with so many others out there with their own vision of things, it happens that there could be accidental overlap. There is no crime in that.
Personally I mentioned the similarities since the Blue Sword had been(one of) my favorite books since middle school. It was actually meant from me as a complement. The quality of writing has always been right up there with professional authors. With as many awesome AU's you write I am actually surprised you have not been published for original works yet. (I could never be since I am predominately an obsessive Continuation writer.)
Anyways I just wanted to let you know that you are appreciated for your skill, works, and creativity. Never think that we your readers and fellow writers don't love you for the passion you share. I would never want you to feel judged or anxious because what amounts to coincidence.

Hey read your start note and this is just me but I haven't read the book blue sword and even if I did and there are similarities between it and your story it wouldn't matter to me. One is his the other is yours and I'd still read both. Hell I've seen people do gender bender stories without changing the story and they don't get removed half the time. Here's hoping others see it like I do.

So it's currently 2:36 in the morning where I am...I can totally read the sequel before dawn :D such a great story!

Fanfiction page doesnt let me write a review thats from chapter 25 thats why i write this in chapter 27. In chapter 25 Natal says something interesting about a royal family that scape from the north. That was my favorite and awesome part (if my assumptions are correct).
And in this chapter 26 (including Van Cloath flying infront Millerna from 25 ;)...) Gadeth and Dryden are awesome! I just want to see that girls fight for feathers. And the dance, how i love Allen for helping Hitomi. He as a lot of consideration even he knows about his sister feeling.
This fiction ROCKS!

That fight ladys and gentlemen..that girls riot! I was laughing a lot with this! But at the end Van has the quien relaxing dinner party that he wants.
