NaLu x Buckets chapter 22 . 1/8/2017
It had been nearly 8 years since you last updated this story, which is a pretty long time. Long enough that it leaves me to believe you have moved on from writing this story, which of course i understand. From the maturity of your writing, you had to have been at least midway through college, and that is a very changing time for people. So while I wouldn't say I am content with you leaving this story as you did, I will accept it. Still, waking up to find a review of a story from years prior has to be nice. As I said earlier, you have amazing maturity in your writing. The sentences are constructed well and your diction is beyond spectacular. At each alliteration i sit in awe and amazement (Can you tell I am not quite as talented?). It may be because I saw the movie mere minutes before reading this fiction, but I could hear V's voice in each word he spoke and thought. I could see Evey's smile and the curls the V adored so much. But, then again, I finished your story just recently, about 20 hours after watching the movie, and I still hear his same voice. I still see her same smile. You conveyed the characters emotions and features through your writing perfectly, to say I am impressed is an understatement. You are beyond a talented writer, and I crave so much more from you. And, ohh my god don't get me started on the more 'mature' scenes, if you will. Each detail was written in a way that I could see, feel even, the same things as Evey and V. When I first came to read your story, I was honestly expecting a more sexual interpretation of V for Vendetta, with perhaps a heartwarming 'V lives' at the end. But you provided so much more, and by the middle of the first chapter I could not stop reading. It physically hurt me in a way to put down my phone and attend to other things. You enhanced different sides of V that we saw in the movie, never really going out of character (though it did occasionally appear so.) Every word that V (and Evey) spoke, i could picture them saying as if it were part of the movie as well. It made me truly wish it was.
I came to this story in search of something that would fill that emptiness i feel every time I watch Evey look a rose-surrounded V for the last time. And it did, at first, but now that the story has left me hanging in such a climatic spot, I feel that emptiness even worse than before. This story continues to have an immense amount of potential, even 8 years later, and I know it is silly to hope, but I really do hope you find it somewhere to come back here. Even for a short period of time, just to write one more chapter. If not, theres no way I could force you in any way. I really do hope all is well, and thank you for providing at least a little bit of a beautiful story. I feel like there is so much more I want to say, but I've rambled on for long enough.
Until your words find a way to this site again,
xx

Hall of Rune chapter 13 . 6/5/2016
Aside from the obvious intent for discord from the time V asked her of the favor, things have felt a little unnatural in their interactions. For instance, some of the misunderstandings could have been easily sidestepped had V only corrected her initial assumptions, while others are a bit nonsensical, given V's astute observations, overall intellect, and inclination toward gentlemanly behaviors. Yes, I understand the defense of a person not being exactly in their most reasonable state of mind when tension is high, but still, there are certain sensitivities that his character would normally be mindful of.
Then again, perhaps I am adhering too much to the movie V, rather than this fictional spinoff...

That aside, I do enjoy the classical literature inserts - though I admit, while I am usually apt at reading between the lines, the depth and application of enough was lost or unclear until you had explained it in the author's note (in the previous 1-2 chapters).

The heat is quickly escalating, I see. While the characterization of these two is certainly more...uninhibited than I'm used to, it's kind of a pleasant surprise.

On a side note, as a dancer that competes in International Latin styles (Rumba, ChaCha, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble), I have to say that the Samba was not perhaps the dance to choose for the particular mood and emotions described at the time...perhaps the Rumba, as the most sensually passionate and romantic of the dances, was the appropriate choice. YouTube Riccardo and Yulia doing the Samba vs Rumba, any video, and you'll see what I mean.
