Oh my I did something stupid. I started a very long story, that got me completely invested. And that has been abandoned for five years. I don’t think my heart will recover from the heartache in the final chapter.
I have seen the many difficult times you have gone through through the author notes, and I sincerely hope that life has been kinder to you in the past few years.

I just noticed that it's been several years since you updated. I hope that you are safe and well. If you ever write again I'll be delighted to read whatever you write. I've enjoyed this so much. I would have loved to learn what the real Rhett was like behind the mask that he portrays to the world. I think under all of that masculine bravado is a very sensitive man who might be more like Ashley Wilkes then he realizes. They may be another reason why he hated Ashley even before he fell in love with Scarlett. Scarlett seems willing to reveal her frailties, Rhett could learn to do the same.

I'm new to fanfiction but I am an avid reader of all types of works. You've done a fascinating job of revealing the thoughts behind Scarlett and Rhett's behavior over time and the pain that comes with understanding and admitting to it. Your writing is clear and descriptive. This is great work! (I also hated Scarlett... Rhett was mostly missing from the book!)

I’m not terribly fond of “Scarlett” either but it’s finished and has happy ending. please finish this story. it’s amazing. please please please fix them. thank you for your work.

could you post that your alright we as readers worry about the author when you haven't updated in so long we worry something bad must have happened for you not to have finished this remarkable story

I don't know if something happened to you for you to not update in quite a while, if you're all right or not. Your author's note on the last chapter did say you planned an update soon, so I wonder.. I do hope everything's going all right for you, even if you never update this again. Just wanted to say I'll be another fan waiting for an update if you ever decide to come back to this. And if you don't, I wanted to thank you for all you did write. I could probably gush on and on about this story for at least 10 pages, with its excellent characterization and the many plot threads I need to see resolved... it's all so very good and epic.

I read this whole story this week and it is brilliant. 100x better than Scarlett ever will be. Please please please finish! Literally the best fan fiction I’ve ever read and I’ve read 100s.

I have LOVED every moment of this story which I have read over the last few days. It’s by far and away the most authentic GWTW sequel on this site. I never wanted to read ‘Scarlett’ because of the trip to Ireland bull sh*t. However I have always felt that Scarlett would not just sit around waiting and hoping for Rhett to come back to her, she would go after him and try to show him she had changed and could grow up to be the woman he needs. I am majorly depressed right now at where the story is goingScarlett has begun to realise the obsessively, compulsively toxic nature of Rhett’s ‘love’ for her to the extent that she doesn’t believe they can ever have a normal healthy marriage, to the extent that she fears for the safety of her unborn baby. Please don’t leave us hanging like this. Don’t give up on this amazing story. Find a way for them please.

Oh my goodness! So I’ve read every single chapter in less than a week. This story has made me laugh, cry, happy and sad. I think you did an excellent job recreating Scarlett and Rhett. I really enjoy Ella’s vibrant personality. To be honest I typically don’t care much about Ella. I’m more indifferent about Wade but I really just want to forget about Ella as terrible as that might sound haha but I just love her character. I’ve hoped though she would eventually call Rhett daddy. The twist And turns of this story to me seemed super believable. The extended details like about the “real” situation between Rhett and Virginia. I was like whoaaaaa

I know it’s been forever since you updated but I read all of your updates in the chapters and I know it can sometimes take you awhile to post. It doesn’t appear that it typically takes THIS long but you have a birthday coming up next month based on your comments and hopefully you’ll gift us with a chapter hehe.
