Reviews for Time Cannot Erase
Guest chapter 1 . 9/14/2015
My sister and I do litterally the exact same thing- we play smash bros, I'm always Zelda (love her!) And she's always Link or sometimes Ike.
anon1123 chapter 33 . 3/19/2015
Excellent, excellent story. I must commend you for portraying Link, Zelda, and Marth as essentially flawed, rather than mighty and perfect. They became real. I also especially liked the conflict of ideologies, of the wanderer and the loyal, present throughout. Your representation of the Triforce and the True Force is unique and actually pretty believable. And as a diehard Zelink shipper, I loved the ending :P. Favorited.
KaChan84 chapter 33 . 4/19/2013
wow...just WOW! Absolutely L-O-V-E-D it! One of the few good Zelda-Fanfics...and the first one to make me cry. You have a way with words...thank you for sharing. Really.
cheers
SDFLVNJSDFKVSNDFVKL chapter 1 . 3/31/2013
Alright, I'm a die hard Zelda fan and while some of the mix ups irked me I won't complain about individual ones because I'm sure other people have already. Instead, I'm going to recommend how to fix it yourself. First off, play Ocarina of Time, I cannot overstate how important this is. You can litterally get about %90 of the knowledge there is to know about the Zelda universe from that game, the manga conflicts it at some points, and completion only takes about 20 hours for a new player, more like 12 if you use a guide, there are tons of n64/gamecube cartridges floating around for that game and you can also download it on the wii for $13 (think I got that price right...) or find a rom and emulator download online for free.
Second, read some of the good Fire Emblem and/or Zelda fanfics to get a good idea of how the characters are generally portrayed.
Third, make sure your terminology for some things matches the terminology of Zelda/Fire Emblem canon (I.E Despite being a tribe, the Gerudo have a King, not a Chief. This is why Ganondorf was referred to as the "King of Thieves")
Fourth, If you aren't 110% sure of something then just look it up, it'll take like two minutes and then you don't need to worry about people complaining about it.

Don't mistake the purpose of this review, I did very much enjoy reading this first chapter and will likely continue onward reading this when I have more time, but if you ever decide to rewrite this story or anything else similar in the future, try to do your research to avoid having these little issues that might annoy fans of the two series.

Mistress Charon chapter 33 . 2/24/2013
I am utterly speechless; this story is easily on my top 5 fanfiction stories of all time. I especially liked the song quotes at the beginning of every chapter, they were very insightful to the character's feelings, and it was a very nice touch. I just love the whole plot line and the characters were unbelievably real, they all had their qualities and their flaws. You portrayed their feelings and thoughts with the utmost clarity and precision. The fighting scenes were incredibly vivid. The story made me want to laugh, cry, scream, frown, and smile—you are a brilliant writer. If there was anyone deserving of the title of master wordsmith it would be you. I sincerely thank you for this wonderful, magnificent, and heartfelt story. :)
Dr. Chopper chapter 33 . 12/16/2012
That was absolutely spectacular! Just beautifully written! That was just unbelievable amazing, a genuine masterpiece in fictional literature! I am astonished by the emotional depth of this writing, because - and I'll be honest here - I was in tears on more than one occasion while readin this. The action sequences were so well described too, just fantastic work, because it can't be easy to write and describe all of these magic attacks and whatnot. And that fight between Marth and Link... That was sooooo intense, especially right before Elice showed up - and Link was deciding wether to hand over the Master Sword. I always imagined a war drum of sorts beating slow and loudly, just to add to the suspense and awesomeness. Same with the Ganandorf fight, I imagined the song from the final Ganadorf battle in Twilight Princess. It made it infinitely awesome. Damn, though, what a final twist that was! That last line was just... WOW! Didn't see that one at all. Stellar work on that one. Plus, I liked that movie-esque ending, where Marth is presumably happy again, and Link and Zelda ride away together as the twilight sets. Picturing that was so cool, it was truly movie quality. I can't get over this, it's just too much greatness for me to bear. With all the action, the fights, the anger, the betrayal, the lies, the deceit, the romance, the love, the selfishness, the selflessness, and the sacrifices, I find it impossible to get over. All to well done, author, your work has brought me endless amounts of joy (except for the part when I thought that it would be Marth marrying Zelda, I almost got pissed off there), and you should recieve admiration and praise of the highest degree. Seriously, fantastic work, you are truly gifted, this has been a masterpiece, and I am grateful for your efforts and time that you put towards making such an impressive work.

Sincerely,

{:)

RazerLeaf chapter 33 . 8/21/2011
Wow. Your 33 chapters were so cruelly riveting … I just read it straight till the end, and I hated it when I had to stop and take a break. It was horrible in a brilliant way.

Your story had it’s flaws though – mostly it was just the missing breaks and typos that were noticible, but sometimes there were repetitions of words like “unadulterated” a bit much. It’s because that word is so uncommon that it stands out when it’s repeated. And sometimes you switched question marks for exclamation points, but I think you did change that for you next version …

Also in the beginning, I thought Navi’s departure was strange – but I know it’s different in the other version to this, so I won’t say much. But what I really liked about your fic was your characters. Marth is so believable – not that I played Fire Emblem either, but listening to him on Super Smash Bros, I can imagine he would be that way. Roy was really funny in his own way – the comic balance you had was great. I also really liked seeing Link and Zelda grow up again – Link spoke like a child and then, it seemed like he wasn’t a child either. I thought that was interesting.

And of course, your plot … your plot was amazing! Everything had a place – even Roy’s “flower” for Elice. For a while I was wondering when Marth would come in, and if , when he did come, who Zelda would choose but it clicked in the end when Zelda parted from Marth – how his lies ruined any chance he could have had. It didn’t seem like there was any point where the plot was in a lull. The final confrontation in the end it was epic!

Overall, I think this was excellent and the ending really hit the spot … I was afraid for a moment that for Zelda it was going to be like the beginning with Link constantly going away but … :) I especially liked Marth’s meeting with Malon – I can actually see that happening, though as her being a farm a girl I wonder how that would end off …

I might read your next fic, but this one by itself seems brilliant, amazing job!
Tactician Geek chapter 33 . 7/17/2011
I can tell you one thing, I am an FE fan who enjoyed this. True, the only game I actually played all the way through was the DS remake of Marth's first game, but I've done research on all the others.

Now on to the actual review. The writing style was good, if a little drawn out at times; and the characters, while many not having their canon personalities (I realize you never played FE, don't get angry), were believable. Link, the adventurous rogue who likes Zelda but goes on adventures all over the world anyway; Zelda, the angst-ridden princess; Marth, the Boromir-esque prince; Roy, the childish 'tard; and Elice, the fiery princess.

And the Triforce's desire to be one again, yet again reminds me of Lord of the Rings. It manipulates its handlers so that it can come together, and even manipulates Marth so that he can bring back Ganondorf and the Triforce of Power. This again reminds me of Lord of the Rings, and how the Ring tried to manipulate Boromir into taking it so it could return to Sauron. And the both of them; Marth and Boromir; only wanted to use the power of these objects to save their kingdoms; Altea/Aritia and Gondor respectively.

That's... all I've got to say. Sorry, I won't be reading ATA because I tried once and... I've sunk too deep into the FE fandom. It's just too painful... Jeigan... Merric... (don't take it offensively, you haven't played FE so you wouldn't know)
mahreemari chapter 33 . 6/17/2011
I LOVE IT SO MUCH! How come you don't update AtA here?
sorutan chapter 2 . 5/9/2011
Alright, I already read this on dA but I can't help but to read it again X) even if I haven't read all of AtA... *shot*

Let me just say that this is probably the best fanfic I've ever read, and I'm not saying this as a Zelda-fantard/Link-fangirl, but as an avid reader. You took famous characters and transformed them into people with a lot more emotion than the games give them. Plus, and I have no idea how you did it, but you made Link seem even more hot! 8D Also you made Zelda, who is my favorite video game character but is always abused, someone where readers can actually understand this so-called "Mary-Sue princess's" actual feelings and that she's a lot more deep than people think of her as. Plus, best. Character. Portrayal. Of Roy. EVER. Elice too! Even though I haven't played the FE games either ; Unfortunately, you got me hating Marth (FML for being a hard Zelinker .), even thoug he did get my sympathy here and there and in AtA, but still .

And I didn't think anyone could do it, but in Chapter 26 whe Link died, you mademe literally bawl my eyes out. I NEVER cry while reading a book. Maybe when I'm watcing a movie or something, but never a tear during a book, and you got me SOBBING. My mom even walked in on me while was crying on the computer and she now questions my sanity XD

Alright, enough of my ranting! Every single fan art, review, fave, comment, in-general praise you get, I'm here speaking for all my fellow fans that you deserve every bit of it, hon! You're definitely going to go far, I just know it ;)
AccountInvisible chapter 33 . 7/23/2010
Read this on DA and wanted to comment soooooooooooooooo bad... I LOVE THIS!

This is by far one of the BEST Zelda Crossover Fics I've read... Your story had me hooked on the first paragraph! Let me tell you, I've spent many a night depriving myself of sleep just because of this! (And my mother didn't like me for it either... not even going to go IN to what happened then).

Poor Link... he was (and still is) being ridiculed for something that he cannot change; his blood. Zelda is the only one that respects him, which is sad.

Marth... I... didn't like him. I understand the need to keep his people safe... but he nearly got Link and Zelda killed. Not to mention he emotionally scarred Link. I was about ready to chase Marth around with a baseball bat and whack him with it until he begged for mercy...

Roy and Elice are just awesome~3! Don't really have much to say other than that:)

Well, I guess I should stop rambling now. I could probably continue with an entire 4 pages of how awesome this story is. What can I say... you make me think XD!
