I liked this one a lot! It's so hard to see Dooku as a Sith to me... It's the only bad guy I like of every thing I have ever read... It's weard for me, 'cause I don't like evil... Thanks for writing!

This was a beautiful work of art. The interaction between Dooku and Obi-wan was amazing. Really quite very touching. I particually loved the part where Dooku laughed at Obi-wan's terms for Qui-gon's strays. It really is very nice to read a story were Obi-wan and Dooku are actually being civil towards each other. This was brilliant. Again, I am constantly amazed by the depth of your stories. Thanks again!

It's not often I read a fic where Obi and Dooku talk without going after each other's throats. This was very nice, simple and fluffy. Although I prefer Obi/Qui-Gon fics over Qui/Dooku fics, for you to place them together is sweet. Thanks for sharing.

Aw. You're the best, you know? You do unsure little Obi-Wan very well in this, no worries. I love the meeting between the two most important people in Qui-Gon's life. So different, yet they fit so well. It's sad the way Dooku feels guilty for making Qui-Gon so cautious, but it works just right. Ah, another wonderful story. Keep it up!

*glee* Dooku introspective from Obi-Wan's POV! I just knew it was going to be good. JA-period Obi-Wan worryfarting cuteness elegantly dark broody Dooku. Spot-on, slightly teasing characterisation of the Padawan. Worried little 'pathetic lifeform' Obi-Wan is just so adorable, and you did write him so perfectly. Your characterisation of him here was quite flawless: you totally got into teenage Obi-Wan's head, and I have to applaud you for that, as it's something that has repeatedly proven elusive for me. He had just the right balance of childishness and of the matured anxiety we see in the PT films. The line 'Oh, it was no good' was especially good, pardon the bad pun, it summed the Padawan's state of mind at that moment so succinctly and so accurately. And the lines 'Then ambush had come without warning, as ambushes usually did' and 'He wished Qui-Gon would just wake up, already' were unmistakeably teenage Obi-Wan-ish. I think you should write him more often – this piece proved to me that you are very good at it. I like how there was the subtlest edge of impatience in Dooku's address to Obi-Wan, and at the same time a certain odd affection. Makes one realise that he and Qui-Gon were much more alike than they realised, or most people give them credit for. I think there's a strange, tenuous link between Obi-Wan and Dooku, even if only because of the Qui-Gon connection,which has been very shallowly explored, something like what Juri hinted at in Eclipse, and which you did astoundingly well here. And you've got to write the backstory of Qui-Gon 'passing out' from low blood sugar levels as Dooku mentioned. Jess, despite what you seem to think, I can safely say that most of your readers never tire of Dooku-Qui interaction written by you, or mush, or cuteness, or whatever you prefer to call it. Or at least I don't.

Obi-Wan's faint judgemental-ness of Dooku was also very much in character. It's strange how 'Visiting Hours' seems on close inspection not so much a real conversation or exchange or dialogue [in the most archaic sense of the word] between Master Dooku and Padawan Kenobi than it is two separate introspectives from the POVs of two very different individuals that converge occasionally only they're ruminating on their relationships to the same person – both of which are perhaps sometimes a little tangled, and definitely shadowed by both the brokenness of the past and the fears in the future. And that is beautiful.

Exploring the relationships between thethree of them holds a deep fascination for me, and I love how you penetrated that here. I think what's truly wonderful about your writing is that, at first glance, it seems so lighthearted and kind of skimming along, but whenever I take a closer look, it becomes so poetic, dense with imagery and emotion. It's been speculated that one of SW's primary functions was to serve as a kind of microscope for the complex patterns of human relationships, and, in that sense, at a certain point in your prose, Dooku, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon transcend that Healers ward and become bright universal epiphanies.

Highminded literary concerns aside, it was good, them two meeting. I felt extraordinary pathos reading their parting. One longs then, for what could have been, quite beside the scene in the Geonosian hangar of AotC or the tragedy on the Separatist flagship at the start of RotS. Which is why I love this piece so much. * grins* And the closing chapters of Eclipse.

Jedi Master Dooku and Qui-Gon's liitle Padawan in the same room – you know, look at them, you'd expect some kind of small explosion, or a brief miniature blaze at the very least. But you made them implode instead, and we below were all left to catch the falling sparks of that collision. It's a joy to witness, and I am grateful you shared 'Visiting Hours' with us.

BTW, some lines you write have the uncanny ability to completely demolish all my predispositions about your writing and the characters you work with. Dooku's quiet, nochalant observation ' was one of those. It had me quite staggered for a while, with its massive depth and far-reaching implication. It's probably going to become a permanent fixture in my daily vocabulary.

Jess, you know I do love your work. Keep writing, and remember that one can never have too many Dooku introspectives, whether reading or writing them, whether they're from his own POV or someone else's. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, not even yourself, y'ken?

Wow. That was powerful. Obi-Wan's self doubt and Dooku's casual confidence, all combining to make one strange conversation. It really reflected all the characters well.
