SheWhoLeavesCrappyReviews chapter 1 . 9/20/2016
As grim as this is, this is what makes fanfiction so amazing. The most childish and unrealistic stories can turn into the exact opposite - and it's great. I love how instead of focusing only on the royal couple (if they can be called that) like I expected, you also wrote of the suffering and sacrifices of other characters. They were all tragic of course, but Murata's was the most horrible in my opinion. Imagine being tormented like that in every reincarnation. Being hit by a truck can almost be considered a merciful end.

This was a great read. Thanks for sharing your work with us!

kitkit11183 chapter 1 . 2/25/2013
If KKM were more realistic, this would be the result, I think.

"Naïve, too, and inexperienced and ineffective, but still. He brings them all on these little adventures, happy ones that end well, constitute and single, manageable task. And who cares what they leave behind afterwards, when it gives such relief to be the hero of the day? Who has the energy to think about all the millions of starving children in the world, when it's so easy to feel good about helping just the one you happened to stumble across?"

This paragraph carries so much truth in it that it's difficult to cheer Yuuri on when he is so incapable of understanding his position.

The three brothers' positions are wonderfully distributed. Even the maids and everyone who seems insignificant play such grand roles here that Yuuri is pushed into the background like the figurehead he is. Brilliant. This is gritty reality that shatters a fairytale world and I love it.
Aimmy14 chapter 1 . 11/28/2010
Man, I lovethis story. It's so different from the usually more ligt heared fics in The KKM fandom. I especcially like the way you mad things short but so clear.

I also like the way you gave everyone roles in the story. It is all in all one of the best KKM fanfics I've read.
Raywolf Shibelt chapter 1 . 8/15/2010
Aw, that was so sad and broken with what little hope in the end... It was so beautifully written, though tragic and heartbreaking... I love it! Reading this makes my heart ache so badly, but really, it's so beautiful... Among my faves now! You're such a great writer. I haven't read something like this before. Um, I was just wondering if it's a narrative poem? Anyway, thanks for sharing this...

bakemono-niko chapter 1 . 7/11/2009

Aria DC al Fine chapter 1 . 2/5/2009
OMG...It's very powerful, the fic. And the ending. 'I loved him.' the past tense. And how both hear different unspoken words. Why, how did Wolfram even lose trust in Yuuri? What made him think Yuuri is threatening him for sex? The change in Yuuri's character isn't very clear...or may be Yuuri didn't change but Wolfram's perspective did and everything seems bleak and threatening to him by that point...

Another thing is Murata. Well, I'd imagine someone who has to retain that much memory will be insane each time...he must have welcome death, since it's his oblivion. The next he is reborn, his memories don't have to remain with his soul. And how Wolfram is turning to Celi. Poor Celi. Her brother had ulterior motives. At least Conrad, Gwendal and Wolfram know they can trust each other. Celi must have snapped.

The way you write foreboreding is also very well done...you introduce a concept that there is a 'role' only Wolfram could fit in the middle of the fiction but only made it clear near the end. Poor Yuuri was a misleading 'hope'...a dream that turned to a nightmare...how apt. I really LOVE this fic (tho the ending is a bit unclear coz there is no resolution...how long is the war going to be? and I don't get the 'Wolfram wed Yuuri so Gwendal has an excuse to rule' part...does it mean Wolfram is supposed to marry Yuuri, or marry Yuuri off to an enemy's royalty?) And Wolfram's losing his self esteem...how bad he thinks of himself revealed in the end...

superb! please write more kkm angst!
iolah chapter 1 . 1/30/2009
Beautifully terrible. Obviously not the fluffy piece that people want to read, which is the only explanation for its lack of reviews, because this is pure brilliance. I love the desecration of everything and the characters and WOW. Fantastic job
annie chapter 1 . 7/22/2008
This story reminded me how beautiful tragic stories can be.

I love it, you're writing was terrific.

There were so many strking and convincing lines, heart-pinching in this case.

It's so rich and meaningful.. just beautiful.

This could have been canon, you gave everyone their REAL purpose, and that Yuuri (annoyingly loved and praised) is really nothing but a container.

I love the brothers and Cecil, always loved them.

It was a bit sad that Gwendel was like that haha, but it worked so well.

I love this fic.

Thank you for writing this!

Beautiful! I love it! -
Isha-libran chapter 1 . 2/27/2008
Gah. Appalling. Horrifying. Terrifying. And all the more so because it is all so very *possible*. This is what politics really is, but I doubt Yuuri will ever really understand that.

And I liked the fact that though the fic is mostly focused on Wolfram and his brothers, you brought in the relatively minor characters as well, like Ulrike and Gisela, and how they were affected by everything. Ah, poor Ulrike. *shudders*

And please, please tell me Celi didn't die of syphyllis-or the Mazoku variant of it.

Absolutely chilling. There are really no other words for this fic.

Which is to say: your writing is very good, this piece was very powerful, and thank you for sharing this with us. )
