Reviews for Lufia: Revenge of the Sinistrals
steve chapter 1 . 2/24/2015
My thought is that four NEW sinistrals would throw the original four Sinistrals overboard and take over the world. The new sinistrals are:

Gonun, Sinistral of Tragedy

Rent, Sinistral of Disaster

Elma, Sinistral of Fear

Zim, Sinistral of Mayhem (Leader)

The original four Sinistrals, Amon, Daos, Erim, and Gades, are all separated and their powers are taken away; they are also forced to spend at least 20 years of living. Also, it would be known that all the original heroes (Maxim, Selan, Dekar, Artea, Guy, Lufia, Jerin, Aguro, even the Scientists) ceased to exist. Let's start with Amon working as a farmer while living with his father. Amon would first gain EXP by swatting away deadly grass around his farmland using a three-prong garden rake. When Amon done his work for the day, his father was looking to bake some cookies, but he ran out of sugar. Amon was then given 2,000 GP and was asked to go to a store nearby and pick some up - which he did. When Amon returned, his entire house was burned to the ground and his father was trapped/killed. Then there was Gonun and Rent, two of the four new Sinistrals that revealed who killed Amon's father and destroyed his house. Eventually, Amon teams up with Erim, Gades, and Daos. They would regain their powers, even where Amon and Gades would hold two powerful weapons that would exceed the Dual Blade. Amon would be simply given a Platinum Trident (instead of a Gold Trident) and for Gades, Maxim's soul would appear before him, Maxim would then take the Dual Blade, turn it into a Quad Blade, and give that to Gades. Gades would use this to help defeat the four new Sinistrals. This would be a good opportunity for the original four Sinistrals to have a shot at revenge. Get yours!

Good chapter. Honestly, I don't usually like fantasy games to be intertwined with modern day stuff, but so far I'm still interested. The hard part may be in keeping the distinction...that the four heroes talk like modern day people, while the Sinistrals' tone should be more like the prologue...not morphing into modern day dialogue. That idea seems great to me. Keep it coming!

Great Prologue...and thanks to adding to the Lufia library. I loved the writing style and was greatly intrigued by what was spoken about. Looking forward to what is in your mind...at least, what makes it to paper.
