I'm having to remind myself how much we all love Wash because I'm starting to root for Mal and Zoe but they can never happen...

This story is so good! I'm having a hard time telling where the "real" story ends and the fan fiction begins.

I can't get over the awesomeness of this series. from the first fic (prelude) , to the last 27 chapters I read. am on my phone and I just finished watching Firefly for the first time last week.

I can't really establish coherence but I feel like this is the best exploration of EVERYBODY and the mysterious unendingly fascinating relationship between Mal and Zoe. Your backstory for everyone and everything is so believable. feels like canon.

Just finished the first chapter and loving the intersection between Shepherd and Mal. Two men with mysterious backgrounds and very different approaches to life. I've often wondered about Book 's interest in the crew. He throws himself so whole -heartedly into helping them and caring about them and seems to live in the present. I wonder what secrets this heist will reveal.

What a great story! I live the details on Mal and Zoe's relationship. And I'm glad Mal and Wash came to a detente. I guess you're gearing up to kill Book and Wash though, huh? Seems a shame to fix things up only to end them again.

Oh well. It was a shiny story.

Here's hoping that the Shepherd's plans go better than Mal's! The little spurt of action cranked up the tension on what could have been an awfully talky chapter; pity that Mal is still in the can't-catch-break-not-never-nohow club. I'm curious to see what comes next.

I, didn't see this coming. I figured the order for lots of ex-military, but didn't expect them to be fixed to fight the war over again. Knights Templar, huh?

Well now, there's a bit of a bombshell! Is that from the comics / etc or is that original material?

Oh, something I forgot to review on, from an earlier chapter: "the battle's done and we kinda won" - love the Buffy reference. :)

Wow, Jayne being all perceptive and articulate. Cool.

I like this take on him. He's the only character who gets zero growth in the series, the movie, and most fanfic. I like seeing him grow some loyalty. Kudos.

That was a great chapter. I love the idea that Harken was on their side; it makes perfect sense now that I look for it.

I think Wash and Zoe have a mite of fighting to do pretty soon now. Be interesting to see if Zoe finally comes clean.
