I like that you wrote it in Kisame's point of view and especially the part about Deidara being a grouch. I haven't read a fic which make you think about what Kiaame thought about the younger akatsuki members and I really enjoyed reading this. Thank you for the beautuful story.

That was very interesting. I have come across this particular fanfiction story a couple of times, but never took the time to read it. Now that I have read it though, I am very intrigued. This was a nice mix-up from the fanfiction stories that have seemed to become prominent on this site. It made me think and I thank you for writing this. It's probably a little silly to review a story written six years ago, but I just found it now, and I found that it was written absolutely brilliantly. I've never seen a character study from this angle before, and it was so refreshing.

Given how old the story is, and how we all improve over the years, then I can only imagine the pieces you write now.

lolz deidara would probaly get angry at kisame for saying " it seems like exchanging gold for a lump of coal." that was smart and sasori does seem like the character to get impatient with anyone, and everyone i like this story, a lot

Wow. Wow, wow, wow. This was really well done. It all makes perfect sense and seems totally realistic. I like that it's from Kisame's point of view.

I really liked the bits about Deidara being so attached to his partner, and Kisame "making himself look like a fool" trying to make young Itachi comfortable.

This story is so funny - I love how you compare Deidara and Itachi. Favorite line in the story -

"The boy is weird, sure, and bordering on megalomania at times, and occasionally Kisame has heard of him doing some spectacularly stupid things on a mission, but all of that is expected and even welcome in a way, and Kisame (unlike Sasori, who is convinced that a moron will always be a moron) knows Deidara is someday going to grow up, stop with the frivolous explosions, maybe even become a grouch like Sasori."

I can almost see this happening to Deidara!

This was intresting. and you don't really ever think of itachi as a kid. you think murderer. It's kind of sad. I read the mangas and that makes it even sadder.
