It is because, as she stated, she has a conscience. Clearing the air with someone should feel a lot better than covertly clearing someones factory of their precious secrets. I'm glad they did make up though. I am looking forward to the romance :)

Wonka truly lived the hermit life. without many proper adults near him, he retained his childlike mentality as well as innocence. I do think you capture him really well in this story even if we don't see him much. Hopefully he show up more often :)

It would also make sense that there are observation rooms to view what's going on without getting directly involved in the candy making process. Though, if only children could stay innocent forever. I personally feel that that sort of talk should be done by the parents, or at least get the parents permission. Lauren really likes to take charge doesn't she?

They are a rather lovely group of people. I also loved how they were portrayed in the 2005 movie. I think you did a good job with their characters so far. Even the small glimpses of Willy Wonka were also in character. I'm also starting to like Lauren more as a continue to read. Nice job :)

When the Bucket family finds out... that will be very, very sad... I would never ever be able to do what she is doing as I am a fountain of emotions. Personally, for her own good, I do hope she does get a good amount of guilt from this at some point, not in a mean way, but for her to learn.

You know, I had a dream last night that I dyed my hair a light honey brown, most likely because of the last chapter I read X)
It actually looked pretty good on me in the dream, though, I'm not sure in real life :/

Also, as for this chapter, Mr. Wonka's reaction to Lauren, got me thinking. It must have taken a lot out of him to allow so many people into his factory after the spy issue. He must have still, even then, had very big trust issues. I can see that here as well, and rightfully so, especially with what Lauren is doing, poor guy :(
