Wow. Great, great! I know, this definitely doesn't win for most in-character piece, but it sure was entertaining! A fantastic read, almost like a thriller.

And I find this plot to be fascinating. I'm a classics student, so I know quite a bit about the Minoan civilization. ) You didn't go as in-depth as I'd have liked, you could definitely have drawn more parallels with math, music, and language, but for the most part, this did read like you had done some research. Had you?

I mean, they didn't have any games like that, and the Minoans weren't warlike at all, but the game chips and the concept of sound as a weapon is very intriguing. Joey would be right in his assumption that anything deliberate the Minoans did would be considered celebratory or ritual in nature. But it just adds so much to the storyline.

I especially loved how Serenity and Seto's relationship grows, especially around the music. You can just tell, from some of the little things you write, like the way that he looks at her, like a window into his soul...and Mokuba makes this story. I love how you've turned him into a Medieval history/chivalry buff. It juxtaposes nicely with the 'Minoan Game.'

And the proposal- that was fabulous! This last chapter was great, crossing and double-crossing and about as romantic as Seto could be, until that last time- that was a little too sweet for him but a great way to wrap up this nice little piece. I only wish it were longer.

All in all, this was better than you give it credit for. For being an early piece, this just shows the potential you've got as a writer for captivating our attentions. Actually, I'd recommend Katherine Neville's 'The Eight' for you to read- it's a thriller about math and music and chess, something that seems almost inspired from your own story. I hope you keep on writing for us to read, and thank you so much for writing this!

Aw sweet. Kaiba has always been one to dominate and conquer and Ren helpless and sweet. You got the charectors perfect and the story line fitted good wiv that stuff. Welldone!

I must say. I devoted about 3 hours of my day, just to read this whole fic. It really was addicting. You did a fantastic job and nailed each character dead on.

And since you warned that this was an AU fic, I knew I would be expecting plot twists and more. I loved this story's plot and I hope to see more of your work.

Very well done! I don't usually read pairings, but this one was different. There was much action in balance with the romance, and that was what made this story different than the despised "mush" stories I am so used to seeing. Seto was only a tad out-of-character, otherwise good job.

And the last lines were excellent. :)
