Concetta chapter 1 . 5/9
I’m re-reading this 13 years later and smiling. I always loved this first chapter.
Silk Leaf chapter 36 . 8/5/2017
I thought I reviewed this when you first posted it, but apparently not. It's a great mixture of humor and action, and not too much sadness. :D
firerosedreamer67 chapter 36 . 9/6/2016
A delightful story of mishaps .. .Two unlikely misfits finding each other and a growing love between them...(all though I would have loved to see them admit their feelings, I can dream them) This is the kind of story that makes me smile!. ..Thank You!

This was freaking AMAZING. I read it all in 2 days. You write beautifully and I am dying to know who Inglor is.
Aranel-DiSonne chapter 36 . 1/10/2015
Adore your Inglor and Haleth stories. Have been burning the midnight oil over here in the UK reading them all week. Thanks for writing such engaging and creative texts, tales like these with their unrequited (or maybe not), love intrigue are my guilty pleasures.
EverleighBain chapter 36 . 8/30/2014
I don't even know where to begin to tell you how ridiculously entertaining I found this story. I started it months and months ago and it was usurped by busyness, but I'm so glad I returned to it. Since I first started it I have broadened my canon-understanding slightly, enough to experience a delighted little lightbulb moment when I realized Inglor might actually be INGLOR! a high elf of the house of Finarfin... this was sometime back around chapter 11 or 12, and I have read breathlessly ahead all evening to see what I might discover at the end.

Your characterization of him is hilarious-vague enough to make him seem, well, Elvish, but also relatable and witty and enigmatic, with the smattering of moments that make us think he's not as clueless about mortals as he lets on (because of COURSE he isn't!) And the subtle things you put in about him knowing all the nuance of Dwarvish culture just made me grin.

And the way you write those instances where he goes from absentminded, scholarly blond elf to Mighty Prince of the Noldor, and the hints of his veiled power-all masterfully done. You've written him as such a layered, dimensional character.

And now I sound like one of the girls that chase the poor guy all through this story. So I will also say that Haleth is one of the most believable OFC's in the business, and the slow, slow development of the relationship between them (and all the accompanying awkwardness and misunderstanding) makes for a sweet and satisfying and plausible romance. And the ring that won't fit on her fourth finger so he puts it on her forefinger (where it fits perfectly!) was just genius. Gave me a little shiver.

I'm so excited to read what else you've written about these two!

Blessings,
Ev

Alright. Haleth is a good and developed character. However, Inglor is just flat out horrible and Gary-stu though I can be wrong considering I am not that far in your Inglor/Haleth fanfics.

But seriously, I cringe every time I read the parts where the women are always chasing and asslicking Inglor. We human women are not THAT pathetic no matter how perfect, gorgeous or sparkling the trophy elf is I hope you realized. I don't ever remember any scenes in Tolkien's work where mortal women are worshipping the elves and they even appear completely indifferent to them.
TMI Fairy chapter 10 . 8/29/2013
["She accused me of being very happy and called me all kinds of names. Haleth, do humans actually do that with their mothers?"]
LOL!

It was indeed a very entertaining story. I'm very sad that I've read it all, but it was wonderful while it lasted.
KatiKates chapter 2 . 12/15/2012
I've read this story a few times, it never gets old!

One of the many lines that just crack me up is,
"The wind gently ruffled his hair, then thought better of it and set it back in its usual perfect position." Love it!

Great job with this story! I love it!
