I love it, it was brilliant

I loved this story in a very complicated way. It's kind of confusing to articulate. On one hand, there's just SO much story that as I read, I found myself wishing you had fleshed it out to be huge and epic, and that you told us every detail of what had happened. On the other hand, I recognized objectively that a large part of the reason I felt that way (that I wanted so much more) was because it was written without it. Because the plot, while well written, wasn't revolutionary, but the sparse, extremely minimalist and internal style, which few fan authors actually succeed at trying, made it so that an otherwise average hurt/comfort plot was addicting and never enough.

So, do I want you to write the whole huge thing? I don't know. I do and I don't. But I'm adding this to my favorites list, at any rate.

I love how you've told this story. The short, drabble-like chapters are really powerful. I'm a fan of drabbles myself; I love writing and reading them. To see a whole story - a wonderful one like this no less - composed of short, powerful and emotional chapters is... well, it makes me squee! LoL

I've read this SO many times, and I never get tired of it. (I'm also a sucker for Shikamaru angst/whumpage, but hey... _)

I was one of the shy lurkers. Actually, I just found this fic when it was already 15 chapters done. Awesome story.

This story is *incredible*. The final chapter almost had me in angsty-happy tears...I adore the friendship between Chouji and Shikamaru, and you portray the emotion of it perfectly. I'm glad I didn't find this story until it was finished, because waiting for the next chapters would have been torture.

Wow. I wouldn't have been able to envision a better way to end this fiction if I tried... The simplicity of the moment is somehow... suiting. And stuff. There I go again with the not-much-sense-making :/ Either way, it filled me with warm fluffies, so kudos kudos kudos

It's such a shame this fanfic ended...I always looked forward to an update each day :(. However, this fanfic is wonderful, and I love how you write Shikamaru's and Chouji's friendship (or maybe more...::wink::). I look forward to reading some more of your stuff in the future, and it would be great if you did more Shiki/Chou.
