Normally I'm not a big fan of Zoro/Nami because they usually have to be OOC to make it work, but this works because they are in character and it's not so much Zoro/Nami as it is Zoro and Nami.

And even by the end, we still didn't get the answer, haha. The question was more of an opening segue into some Nami-Zoro introspection, which you did pretty well on. Funny how a lot of people saw this as a romance or Zonami, but as you had alluded to several times in here, they don't really see other in that light. It certainly -can- turn that way, some day, but today is not that day.

Oda said that he doesn't put any romance into One Piece because it's a shonen manga. If One Piece had been a seinen title, then this scene would have fit in perfectly. Gah, it makes me love all the characters even more. Good job!

Ooh, me likey. I really loved this piece with the codependency that we see there, yet neither Nami nor Zoro seems to grasp. The concept, while not new, was well written and wonderfully done; it kept me captivated throughout the read. Good job; this is definitely going on my favorite's list.
