That post script is the best thing I've ever read.
Annoy mouse chapter 1 . 12/9/2015
Brilliant.
DeepBlueJoy chapter 1 . 3/6/2015
That is absolutely perfect! You caught the flavor and wisdom inherent in the original while retaining the smartass irreverence that made it so risque to read even when it was recommended by my church friends! It was a great book, and you did it proud! That is a very high compliment indeed!

Dear Sir/Madam,

As a reader of Lewis, I recall that your opening phrase, although indeed by from the book 'Screwtape Letters' was not in the original preface as you stated.

You on several occasions quote 'his soul'. Although I am sure that the original Screwtape once said something on the lines of 'you can be quite happy about his soul' I think that this point is misleading when you said 'he has a soul of his own' towards the end of his letter'. In the words of Lewis, 'you do not have a soul, you are a soul, you have a body.' Yet I realise it is a bit odd trying to citique a letter written by a fictional devil, as everything the devil says can be a lie. I suppose I've learnt something too. Keep up your good work!

Regards,

R

Incredibly awesome. I loved the paragraph about Lindsey, as well as the section on The Big Picture.
Maze2010 chapter 1 . 7/14/2011
I know this is like ten years late, but I was just linked to this story today. I loved it. You managed to capture Lewis's sarcasm almost perfectly!
MrEmperor chapter 1 . 7/5/2011
This is glorious. I highly approve. Screwtape’s tone just oozes through here. Well done indeed.
HalfEmptyTeacup chapter 1 . 3/13/2011
That was simply amazing. Having read, or more accurately, listened to The Screwtape Letters 16 times or so, I can state with confidence that you captured the Screwtape's character and writing style of question and answer internal debate perfectly. You also tied it in with Angel quite well, although I am not as familiar with the series as I am with Screwtape. An amateur writer, such as myself, is hard pressed to find anything to criticize.
Anonymized Artichoke chapter 1 . 2/5/2010
Found this recommended at TV Tropes. It wins, majorly.
Starshinedown chapter 1 . 10/26/2009
Oh, I do enjoy Screwtape's letters. I find his letter to Holland just as enlightening as I found the letters published by Mr. Lewis. You seem to have captured his voice well. :)
DrunkenGrognard chapter 1 . 4/3/2009
Oh, this is just great stuff sir. Methinks I need to dig up my copy of the Screwtape Letters next...
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 10/6/2008
A great story. Very funny.
ShadowWren chapter 1 . 10/3/2007
OMG! This is the most clever fiction that I've ever read in my life! The Screwtape Letters are one of my favorite writings from C.S. Lewis and this fic hits the spot completely. Marvelous! _
incandescens chapter 1 . 5/23/2007
Very neat indeed! You definitely capture the feel of both series.
