no...the "as" before and after "best" is correct. just leave it, it's fine. perhaps you may feel like something is wrong. i will explain this. please go back to this sentence and count the # of "and"s...yes, there are 2 of them. tee hee. but this is fine because the first "and" is joining two sentences (thus making a complex sentence) and the second "and" is joining two ideas/actions. n_n so like i said, this sentence is perfectly fine...unless you changed it before i read it. then again, if you did change it, you wouldn't have left the questioning statement at the end. wow-i think too much.

Very nice job on this! I love how you had Atsuro reveal his feelings. You did wonderfully keeping them both in character, as most make on or both of them extremely soft. But you didn't and I'm happy. Great job!
