Not quite what I was expecting (ok, I half-expected a quivering ball of H/S mush, but read it anyways), but I was pleasantly surprised. Short, to the point, and gives you all the room you need to set up a sequel (which I will come back to read if you do make one).

So- the message bubble he sends to Dumbledore at the end- did you borrow that from Labyrinth? Just curious. ;)

Sniff, sniff... what a great story. SS and HG are one of my very favorite pairings and I love the way you brought them together. Poor Hermione, watching someone you care about suffer is more difficult than suffering yourself and she was willing to do anything (even face her greatest fear) to help him. Very enjoyable read. What a charming story! I enjoyed the way you told it using the POVs. And I like the way you ended it, too.

However, it does beg for a sequel. Surely, you have not said everything you have to say. Why haven't you posted a sequel? What a wonderful beginning. You must finish it.

Fantastic. In a few relatively short chapters you captured so much of who Hermione and Snape and all the others are. And you didn't need to trash anyone's inherent (well, as inherent as JKR made them) character to do it.

It's a shame you're not writing for anymore :(
