Brilliant and thanks for writing as I enjoyed reading this story. I liked how you wrote the reunion between Buffy and Spike.

This is a nicely done story. The end note comments on its brevity as, perhaps, a deficiency. But I think it's a strength, since the main relationship comes together, but there is still room for us to imagine where Spike and Buffy go from here, and where Wesley's story will go. Even where Angel might go, after facing that he has probably lost the chance for mortality and after overcoming envy through new emotional understanding. He's an old vampire who's new at love. It all makes this a nice, economical plot arc, for a creatively imagined story.

I'll give you the best compliment I can give: I cried... and my eyes are still watering now. That alone speaks volumes about how much this story touched me, because I don't cry often. Completely brilliant and beautiful beyond words. The emotional ending was all I could ever ask for and more. Thank you. :)

another xmas winner! and of course, there was tears aplenty (and a partridge in a pear tree) - both in happiness and in aching for buffy and spike, individually and together. loved the wes and fred angle, and even am glad about the quiet acceptance of angel for cordy's sake. very beautifully, poignantly so, written!

Wow, that was AMAZING! I loved it! I only wish there was more, of course! I liked the idea of Wes and Fred escaping Wolfram and Heart with Spike. I always thought they should have given Spike a greater reason for coming onto the show, instead of just to annoy Angel. And I love the idea of him coming back human, and stealing Angel's stupid shanshu :). Loved the story!

This was so so sweet. Though I would have really liked to have seen what happened between Wes and Fred through your eyes.

But oh gosh...it was all too sweet what transpired after Buffy made her way to Spike's room. The whole thing was just...why can't we all have happy endings like that.

And its nice to see that the two of them got the resolution that they deserved. You have us the justice that Whedon was too mean to do.

But I loved this story so much! But though I loved it, I can't wait to get back to reading GGSR! I'm a Holly groupie, what can I say!

This story is so bloody wonderful that i don't know where to begin.

The part with Fred and Wes was so sad and so sweet at the same time. I saw both sides of the coin, but love Wes so much that I rooted for his side in the end.

And it was all so good how you tied Spike and Wes's stories together. (Forgive me...medicine makes loopy thoughts in my head.)

But all I can really say besides this story rocks is that I can't wait to read the final part!

This was a great chappie. I really loved how Fred went and asked Angel for help and his initial response was forgivable. The Shanshu had been what he had pined for all his soul-bearing life. Though its obvious that Spike deserves it all the way.

And I love the way that Fred appealed to Angel by mentioning Cordy and how Angel noted that at the end when he gave in.

I can't wait to read the next part and is the only reason why I'm not writing a longer praise. Except to say that this and all your fics deserve the awesome awards they get and more!

Wow, that was great. I especially love the last chapter. My heart broke when Spike got drunk and thought Buffy didn't want him. And then my heart broke again when Buffy came and confessed that she thought he hadn't been real. Fabulous.

"Human hands drenched in blood could not touch her. A demon's hands could." Wow, that was breathtaking and heartbreaking at once. You actually had me thinking there would be no happy ending. Your resolution was much more satisfying after Buffy's initial response to Spike's re-birth. The dialogue and emotional resonance of their reunion at the hotel was deeply satisfying. I like that you didn't just wrap a big bow around the Wesley/Fred relationship, too.
