There are far too little stories such as this one. This was an amazingly well written story and in my book, got a 10/10.

loved this! i loved the sensitive inuyasha -he's only abrasive so that he won't allow people too close to hurt him -it must have happened before. it's funny how the manga has the i/k relationship much closer and there are exponentially fewer occurrences of the subjugation being used than in the anime. the manga [remove space]

i'm usually found digging through archives for good 'inuyasha' and 'rurouni kenshin' stories -i'm glad i found this! if you've never seen/read rurouni kenshin, it's a really great 'historical' anime (funny, dramatic etc...) -please remove spaces:

I liked this quite a bit! I enjoyed the way you depicted Inu Yasha and his reasoning behind keeping Kagome at a distance (and ticking her off enough to sit him n_n).

I thought the sentiment behind Shippo's talk with the bird (especially the part about Inu Yasha being his new daddy) was very touching, though the wording was a little course. Perhaps this was purposeful to portray Shippo's upset state or youth?

A couple questions:

You explained that Kagome was downwind of them but how did she escape Inu Yasha's ears?

What did Kagome mean when she said she had to "fix things on the other side of the well"?

This is such a sweet fanfic! I agree that Inuyasha doesn't seem OOC at all. My favorite platonic relationship in the series has always been Inuyasha and Shippou...just cause they share that bond of being alone, being orphaned at such a young age, and of course, being canine youkai!

One Word: Adorable! Simply Kawaii. Inuyasha comforting a sad Shippo is cute, and I don't think Inuyasha was ooc, because he is not as mean as people would like to believe!

Very sweet story - and I don't even think that Inuyasha is OCC - when it comes right down to it - he is a nice guy, with feelings, underneath it all.
