I like this. Its wistful and heartbreaking. Angel is now human and is doing normal everyday things and Buffy is still dreaming.

Here's my opionon I hate the fact that Angel gets a second chance at life with Cordelia of all people but Buffy doesn't really. Angel has something to look forward to, a point in time when he will know that he has done enough but I don't think Buffy will ever get that. He got to build a new life someplace else with other people. She had to pick up the pieces and keep going. I love Buffy/Angel. They were my first OTP and I continue to ship them to this day but ultimately I think that Buffy saved Angel and Angel kind of broke her. I think this fic reinforces my feelings. But that doesn't mean its not a beautiful story. It twists inside of you and really makes you feel Buffy's wishfullness at the same time of her acceptance. Buffy and Angel don't really ever get their happily ever after together. wow I just wrote alot. I just want to say that this is amazing and really resonated and just made me think so great job.

Really loved this! It's beautifully written. I liked it how you kept bringing back to the puppy as kind of a 'symbol' of the 'normal' (whatever that is) life Angel is living now. Very beautiful and very sad at the same time. Well done.
