Yeah, Yuki _was_ uncharacteristically creepy in the first episode. I think it's one of those cases where the author is still working out characterization details, before the character really settles into a set personality.

Kyou seems unusually nice at times. You might want to give him a little more bite.

Meiji! Yay! Battousai! YAY! That is a really funny, excellent use of a crossover detail to support the fic. It does not confuse a reader who's unfamiliar with RuroKen, and it delights the ones who do.
