Good fic!

...I happened to come back to again, and reread your fic. Again.

Just wanted to reiterate how much of an impact you had on me. Sanzo/Goku is, to this day, my OTP. Now that I'm older, I could actually appreciate how articulate and clever you were here. It's a good ficlet.

Another wonderful story from you! I really love how you write Sanzo's character. He seems to be the hardest to convey, and you do so flawlessly. A lot of people over-angstify him with 'and he never smiled!' drama when, in truth, he smirks and smiles rather regularly in the manga.

Also, the ending was wonderful with your parallel to the journey, and Goku's still remembering the light. It was also really nice how you made it 'their secret.'

As before, a beautiful story.

That was cute! I loved it! I wish you'd continued on so we could hear Sanzo's wrath at those monks for what they did! But It was cute, poor Goku! Mean old monks deserve any wrath Sanzo deems appropriate!

I'm going to ramble on and on about past events in my boring life, so don't mind me and think of this as a compliment ne?

When I was 13 (4 months ago *sweatdrop*) I found a wonderful thing on channel 1, called the anime network which had 4 sections; Action, Martial Arts, Scifi, and Comedy. In the Action category I found things like Full Metal Panic, Steel Angel Kurumi, and Saiyuki. Three months later I was hooked on the third one, and started to check out it's fanfiction. On the first page there was something called Sunset Scriptures and Fired Gold which caught my eye because at the time, Goku was my favorite character and this fic contained lots of Gokuness. I read it (and would you believe this was the first saiyuki fic I'd ever read?) and loved it. Because I was just starting out I didn't know what a review was so I simply went back and read another. This morning I remembered your story and went back in time, but couldn't remember the title, so I searched and still nothing came up. I settled for looking at EVERY SINGLE PAGE and finnaly found it. Yay. I wanted to tell you that your fic totally changed my life (and made me a SanzoGoku yaoiness fan) so I LOVE YOU! *showers with pocky*

I loved the images you created with the scriptures. The rainshower of golden sunlight is beautifuly described. Sanzo "practicing" with the scripture is something I've never seen before but as soon as I did it was like one of those ideas that are so simple people never notice them. OF COURSE he'd have to practice, it makes perfect sense. And having the results be bringing things to life was a great idea. Thanks for sharing

i think this story is absolutely beautiful ;D. none of that sanzo ooc ness that makes me cringe. so sanzo like when he comforted goku the way he did. keep up the good work ne!

. It was a lovely story! I really liked it.
Two things:
1 Rest a minute and reread your story for misswords and grammer before posting. There are some easy mistakes you missed that may make the reader fumble.
2 You were awfully attentive to describing the jittery monks but then left off where there was still viable room to increase the sense of the scene with description of them; such as voice tones and such.
Other than that, no problems. .
