Not bad. No, better than that... this is really good! It's a pretty in-depth look at a relationship that explores the residual trust issues of the two characters, focusing more on the stage just after starting a serious relationship rather than the actual getting together. It gives the story a nice little niche as writers almost always prefer the explosive moments of coming together (especially on this site) rather than focusing on what a person might go through when they're put in a position where they have to reveal vulnerable sides to their personalities.

Top notch.

Great Fanfiction Onizuka. What I really appreciate about this piece is that it's *real*. No delusion or escapist wish fulfilment, no projection ('knowledge' not verified by first hand experience) for narrative convenience. The emotional core of the story, the conflicts and causal mechanisms, are genuine. This is especially rare given the main characters are 'geniuses'. The tendency to overplay or underplay how that aspect factors into Kikuchi and Kanzaki as simple *human beings* is something a lot of less mature authors fall victim to.

The writing behind this fic isn't inspiring, but the intelligence it supports is admirable. And it is certainly fluent. This is pretty damn close to what my ideal in fanfiction is. Ultimately, although I am disappointed with the incompletion of this fic, I am summarily more grateful for the solid 10 chapter read in the first place.

Hm...this is actually one of the more original fic ideas, and I applaud you for it. The characters seem a little too...OOC for me, but then again, its a while into the future, so what do I know.

Your way of putting down thoughts in ()'s and []'s is innovtative to say the least.

On a more broad sense, I think that some parts were too blunt. I'm not sure I like the style you had in the beginning. It sort of turned me off. For example,

- “Who is this and what do you want? And how did you know I was staying here?”

She was answered with a complete lack of emotion.

I just don't think that "She was answered with a complete lack of emotion" would be a good phrase to describe Kikuchi's character. Although he is the silent type, you would think that he would have a little more humor behind his voice when he says this, especially when he's talking to his old friend, as well as someone who is more or less, on the same level as him.

I'm only noting this point, since...its the only point for me to note. The other parts of when Kikuchi was talking is well-rounded and, more to my taste.

Except for the various random typos, and the small OOC-ness, I think the fic is fine.

hmm i like the dialogue thing you got going it's a nice change i guess from what i normally read that's super intense on the nerves so to speak. This is more just like everyday life in a sense i think that's what i've always liked about GTO it's so every day in actions that it makes it unique...eh anyway that was my way of saying i enjoyed reading your story so far.

This is most likely the best GTO fic I've read, ever. You have kept the characters VERY IC, a thing that I like a lot. Also, their thoughts give this thing a whole new perspective. You make none/very close to 0 mistakes/typos etc. and the text is very fluent. I love the dialogues and descriptions, and you throw in urns that I never expect. Do I need to say that this is one of my fav fics? For now I'll put you on Author Alert, though I might get frustrated and email you sooner or later(more likely the former). Anyway, I'm gonna save this and print it out so i can read it over and over again
