Yay recap time! The grapes made a return which was nice.
I'm gonna do my own recap of everyone so far, going by District.

District 1: Eros And Fila. I remember being mostly neutral on these two. Eros was a character that was weird because he was really unique but also had some cliches so idk how I feel about him. I think he has potential and I have no idea how far he could go into the Games but maybe top at least? Idk. Fila was cool. I remember her thoughts about the world and stuff and that was nice to see from a career. I certainly felt bad for her but I don't think she's super unique. Career with overbearing abusive parents? Been there done that. I do love that we have a D1 red head.

District 2: I actually like these two. Bell is lowkey a piece of shit but there's something about him that's really captivating. I think he has the skills, the looks, and the charm to go REALLY far into the Games. I could honestly see him in top 5 and surely top 10. He's a little naive but I think he'll be a competitor and a fun character to read. His backstory was a little spoofy for me but it was still really fun. Moira's backstory was really fun too and very unique. I fell like I don't know a lot about her right now. She had a lot going on, almost too. I've seen the painting career before but not that often. She's one of my favs I think just based on her concept, but I need more from her to really start rooting for her.

District 3: Wow this quite the pair. Artful dodger cat dad and science explosive dissection girl. I love both of them. I owe Edison an apology from my initial review because I misread the way he was reaped. Volunteering as his name was read was actually really clever. I wonder if anyone caught on to the fact that it was his name being read. The escort certainly knows so I'm interested to see what happens there. I know that he's sort of a joke character but I kinda love him. And then there's Liana, probably my favorite tribute in the story. I love pretty much everything about her. She reminds me a lot of Quanta, my first victor, so that's probably another reason I like her so much. I love her attitude and her quirky backstory and her POV was one of my favorites to read. I think she has potential to do really well in the Games and I hope she's in the Finale. As of right now, she's my winner pick. I just adore her.

District 4: Kingston has such a great D4 name that it pushes him above neutral for me honestly. His backstory was interesting and certainly attention getting. As much as it will emotionally affect him, he now how a juicy interview topic ready to go. I think that will help people remember him. As for him as a character, I'm not sure yet. I'd like to know more but I think I like him. And then there's Lana. I don't have much to say here since she's mine and I already have some idea of what's happening with her character. I just hope she takes this story on a wild ride because I love her as a character and as a villain.

District 5: I really liked these two! D5 is pulling up this year. I think they both have potential to go really far. Clancy is a wonderful conceptual character with a specific quirk similar to Sapphira and I LOVE characters with a really specific quirk. Clancy is really fun and his faceclaim is perfect for him. I'm sure he's gonna have a lot of great moments in this story. I can easily see him winning if he has some smexy character development in the story and I would be very happy with that actually. Ares is fun and I loved her connection to Clancy. I really DO NOT like her name though. It ain't a D5 name. Periodt. Also her sister is named Eros and we literally have an Eros in the main cast. I hope we see that come up somehow because it's too big of coincidence to not be addressed. I think Ares is still neutral for me just because she seems like a character made for WTP and not APU.

District 6: Camber! I actually don't remember much about them which doesn't bode well for their chances in the arena. I think they can make it past the BB but not much farther than that. I don't remember nearly anything about them other than I think they were close to their family? idk I have no idea. I do remember Sperry though. At first I kinda wasn't keen on her because we had so many tributes whose backstories related to sex but now I look back and really like her. Her volunteering to get out of that situation was smart and if she wins...wow what a story that would be for her. I'm excited to learn more about her and get to know because if that happens then I'm probably gonna start rooting for her to win. I think she's great.

District 7: I remember both Palmer and Marcel pretty well. I just don't have too much to say on them I guess? Palmer was interesting was kinda wild and I don't see him doing that well. Marcel I think could do really well because she's strong and she's a people person. I think getting herself into an alliance that she can control will be critical because on her own, I feel like she's fucked. I don't see either of them as victors really but I see Marcel potentially reaching top 10 or even top 8.

District 8: I love these two. Challis was actually really endearing somehow. Idk if that's what you intended with is character but the way you wrote is intro made me really like him. Idk why, but I just do. Pretty sure he's a BB though. Teresa though...a queen. Conceptually she's one of my favorite syot characters of ALL TIME. I adore her. I hope we get a bit more personality out of her, but we did sort of get a lot already. I guess I just want to see her in non-household situation. She's a fav for sure. She's competing for my top spot with Liana and actually idk who my fav is. I think her character traits might prevent her from winning but she'd be an awesome winner and I really want to her to win. I hope she kills some men for me.

District 9: Saf and Alarico...eh. I pretty much covered all my thoughts on him already. He just doesn't fit in this verse. Sorry about it. Saf I really like and I think I would like her more if she wasn't so similar to another D9 lesbian we got just the year before. That's not Saf's fault but that's just the way it is and since I read WTP I just see Summer in her idk. Hopefully we get to know her better and I can start to differentiate her from Summer.

District 10: I remember liking Piper. Her backstory was fun and she was a nice normal horse girl. Idk how well she'll do but I guess we'll see. Alabastor triggered the hell out of me just because of his backstory, but that's not his fault. I don't have many thoughts about him.

District 11: Sort of a disappointing end to the reapings. It was basically just egg and laundry for the whole chapter. I think Pith has potential to be an outlier contender but he could just as easily be a bloodbath. Dephra's entire character is just "egg" so idk what to even say about her.

District 12: Don't really remember Morgan. Was he sad or something? idk. Probably a bloodbath. I actually was interested in Etta a bit and that was mostly due to the way you wrote her POV. It was really engaging and interesting to read and made her actually interested in her as a character.

Overall thoughts: This is a very solid cast! It has AMAZING diversity and we love to see it! The reapings were written so much better than in WTP and I'm very happy for you and proud of you too. What's also interesting about this cast is that, I don't really see any of them as victors right now? I mean in WTP and most syots there's usually 3 or 4 characters that scream potential victor but no one in this story really does that. I'm not really sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. The whole cast together is a little strange because on the one hand I feel like they're overall better characters than WTP but at the same time they feel...bland and less vibrant. Idk what it is but the whole cast together is just...idk how to describe. It has nothing to do with your writing because it's really great and gotten so much better already. I just sort of feel, neutral towards the majority of the cast. Not a lot of vibrancy. But maybe that makes sense considering WTP was a quell. Idk. I'm excited to see more of the characters but unlike WTP there's only 3 characters that I'm really excited to hear from again. I'm gonna do a chart for this story too so I'll put there down below. Once again, I'm so proud of you for finishing the reapings SO FAST and without sacrificing quality. You're amazing and idk how you do it.

Okay so admittedly I have missed Coryo and here you are giving us the content we love to see. I once again wonder how you update this fast, but I appreciate it. Hmm the quote about symbols is rather interesting I like it.

Ah Coryo is trying to figure out his feelings about these Games because he's not the head gamemaker this time. Alas all good things must come to an end. And sometimes they lead to better things! Like being President. Him referring to his son as a finger after one stays in the water too long is the FUNNIEST THING lindsay I am WHEEZING. wow he's just out here calling his own child pruny. He's right, but he doesn't have to say it like that. Oh my gosh he is SO mean to Livia but I can't even bring myself to feel bad for her. On the other hand, he's so savage and I love that about him. Like absolutely rest in pieces Livia you've been torn apart by your own husband. Livia is literally out here stating the obvious and I feel like Coryo's trying to figure out if he can get away with the murder of his own wife too. And the real diversity is the two redheads, clearly. Yay Fila and Liana! Coryo seems almost impressed with Edison haha I am too. "That's definitely a bit awkward" oh yeah poor Elizabeth. Rip Liana and Lana for having similar names that's an oops from us. Uhh notable notable oh Coryo commenting on Marcel's looks is so funny to me. Let's take a moment to appreciate Teresa for being herself again. Haha rip Saffron quit looking like you're homeless. Also Coryo being disgusted by love is kinda funny. Yay Piper for being normal! Boo Alabastor for running away! I feel like Pith being consistently forgotten is going to be a running joke so I mentioned him here so at least I'd remember him. Temporarily. Look he even got a couple of sentences. Poor district 12 for existing though I wonder how they'll die.

Yay tribute interaction soon! Very exciting! It's my favorite part. Besides the death. Yay tributes in the Hunger Games!

Dephra: the opening paragraph was nicely written! I liked the stuff about the egg...but then the whole POV became about the egg. Like literally the ENTIRE thing. I don't know anything about her other than "egg" lol it's actually kinda funny. Also she's 17 and has been dating her boyfriend for 4 years? THaT MEANS THEY STARTED DATING AT 13. WHAT THE FUCK. What tween do you that has been in a relationship from that point to near adulthood because I don't know anymore like that. I don't know anything about her only that she is probably a bloodbath. No thoughts only Egg.

Pith: I actually kinda liked this backstory. It was interesting and the chore rotation stuff made for an interesting read. I liked who you wrote this POV a lot. The parallel of the the randomizer giving him laundry in a row and then getting reaped was actually really cool. I wonder if his family just wanted him to do laundry or it was just one of those freak luck things. Idk. Pith isn't a bad character, I think he's actually pretty good and might have some potential. I think he could make top 10, but he could also end up being a bloodbath so I'm not really sure. I'm definitely like him more than Dephra. Looking forward to learning more about him.

Congrats for finishing the reapings! You moved SO fast and I can't believe we're already in pre-Games. Wow. I'm so proud and so impressed with how much your writing has improved so far! During the recap, I'll summarize my thoughts on the cast and probably do a ranking too. Can't wait for a super sexy recap.

Saffron: This was a really cute POV...right until the end. I think as a character I liked Saffron well enough and I'd probably like her more if she wasn't so similar to another gay gal also from D9 who we had just the year before. The backstory is different though, I just feel like they had similar personalities. So one of the cliches with LGBTQ characters in syots is the being kicked out and whole orphanage youth shelter thing. It's not really a bad thing, I just see it a lot. That being said, it makes sense and is unfortunately all too real. The running through the trees and the eventual reveal of the fence to D10 was really cool. It's a cool thing for the story but I believe in canon that the districts don't really link up border to border and there's actually a lot of space between where the people in the districts actually live. But for your own world building, this is fun and made for an interesting read. I enjoyed the banter between Rey and Saf up until the very end when Saf was just like "no lol" and Rey was like "ok then I'm dumping you bye lmaoooo" it was just really abrupt and I didn't think it was realistic dialogue. Overall I think she's a good character and I would like her more if she wasn't so similar to Summer, which is no fault of her submitter of course.

Alarico: Um hol up. First of all, if we are sticking to canon, I don't think it's realistic at all to have a character be able to speak full on Spanish. It has been years and years and YEARS since present day and a lot of languages would have faded or changed dramatically. I think it's incredibly unrealistic for this to be thing. The dog was cute but this whole character, the gay weight lifting cover and just... it's just not a vibe. I don't have much more to say than that.

I still like the original quote better. It felt simple, like I fear these guys will be. "Quote." -Person was just too good. But tbh the real quote is awesome too. I just like it, though now I think we're getting more sad children and that's not exciting. However... last reaping! *cheers*

Dephra - the first paragraph kinda reads like a recipe on a mommy blog? Like this is her giving us her recipe for a boiled egg with unnecessary information that I'd normally skip so I could just get to the recipe itself. Anyway this feels like a weird detail I hope she's not too attached to those eggs in the arena. Dalux sounds kinda whiny? They're like... almost cute? But I don't think I like them. Oh okay weird she's got a tragic backstory when it comes to the eggs and she's real sensitive about it. This entire first section just felt... weird. They feel weird. They left a bad taste in my mouth like that egg in his mouth. I'm thinking she's screwed, but him trying to volunteer for her was dumb but almost cute. Almost. I'm... not convinced by her.

Pith - Sibling bonding is kinda cute. I'm getting "decent chance" vibes so far since he mentioned he's strong. Ayyy he also knows he's average we love self-aware characters. He truly is a simple man. I think it's kinda funny that his bad luck is almost a running joke or something now. First the laundry, now the reaping. "Wow, that escalated quickly." He's got a big family which is neat to see even though there's so many we can't get a good read on them. anyway he's full meh.

Ashby - Hmm okay a weird place to have the mentor. Tbh this is a better introduction than anyone else here has had. Ooh a very neato win in her Games, kind of a dull ending but her losing a leg and not getting it back is cool even with all the Capitol technology. I like seeing how there's some limits to it here early on. I do always like hearing Victors have regrets because they don't know the full cost of the Games. They lose their life either way...

Dephra: Okay so before I forget, is she married or not? Because her description on your profile says she's married, but in both POVs, she called Dalux her boyfriend. That aside, I didn't love her. Something about her having flashbacks to burning her finger on some hot water ten years ago rubbed me the wrong way. Girl, you live in PANEM and that's the most traumatic thing that's ever happened to you? Anyway, she seems very meticulous and organized, which would be helpful for planning and strategizing in the arena, but the best strategies in the world are worthless if you can't actually execute them.

Pith: Well, at least Pith was self-aware when he said he was painfully average. Nothing really stuck out to me here. All I've got is that he's a complainer and he gets along with his brother and he likes having his head scratched. Need more information.

Okay so I've been kinda excited for Saffron ever since I saw she's Let's go, Lesbians! and also since you mentioned her and Summer would've been great friends (or more?) had they not been separated by time and the Games. Sooo my hopes are high for her and significantly less high for Wolf Boy. That description makes me ah... nervous? That being said, the descriptions in your profile are my favorite thing and I only wish we could've gotten them before the reapings started because I love trying to predict which ones I'll like.

Saffron - "never felt so alive but so dead at the same time" Saffron girl are you okay? I mean she IS running so that's kind of a mood but still. Aww man this one doesn't have any parents either. Well she does but she has been disowned I think. This is Panem so I'd say it sucks but that's just the tragic backstory popping out. Kinda relate to Saffron with this whole running thing though, but if they're gonna go watch the sunset that is so cute. I do think it's a little odd that they're all the way out here in the woods though. Whoa wait they made it to nearly district 10? Oh shit that's not what I expected to happen here. I mean, I like how it gives us a good glimpse of what she's like because she contrasted so much with Rey. Idk if I see her winning, but she seems practical and I think at the very least she could last a bit as long as she doesn't get stuck in the bloodbath. I don't think she'll give us another sex-tacular stabbage, which is the real tragedy here. She has a lot of sad girl energy haha, getting reaped didn't help anything. Oh boy her parents came to say goodbye. I guess that IS the least they could do but it's still not helpful anyway. Ah well I hope she finds some friends or something, maybe she could have a few happy memories before she dies.

Alarico - hmm don't like the vibes so far. Dogs are cool and all but ah... did not like this intro. I also like dogs but ew gross dog spit is a no. Honestly if it wasn't for the dog I'd think his backstory is cute. I like where his last name came from, he seems to have a good relationship with his moms, and their family vibes are nice. Being found by a dog though is just... not hitting right. gosh at least the boyfriend won't let the dog over Alarico is just giving me weird vibes. I'm sorry why is this guy telling his mom about his sex life? Well my good sir, you shall join Palmer in my dislike section when I get around to it again next chapter. I think I'd like to take the rest of this paragraph to point out how much I enjoy your writing because it makes me struggle to dislike certain characters. also, every tribute has their own unique brand of oneliners and I like seeing their sense of humor. Okay nevermind I will also comment on the fact that Atticus just gave this guy permission to sleep around and uhhh what? Hmm go hit up Pascal you deserve each other.

Androcles - Wow okay Dennis still isn't making a good impression here. Cristabel Rose wasn't a spoiled brat haha it's hard to be on in 12. Also, didn't she go kinda crazy? Anyway I think district 9 usually does stand some kind of chance but they're written off as bloodbaths by the typical submitter, which is a tragedy because they literally have the whole physical labor with a literal weapon thing going for them. I think it sounds like this guy plans to be more hands on this year? That's cool and all but good luck sir I don't think either of these are winners.

Ooh next we have a simp... le man and Look, I'm Married. I've definitely been intrigued by those two, I wonder if Delphra and Teresa would get along simply because they're both married (I assume anyway)? Maybe they'll trade tips on how to keep the men in line. We're almost done with reapings! I'm just consistently surprised by how top quality your chapters are when you churn them out so fast haha, it's really amazing. Reapings are good and all but I'm excited for some real interactions between tributes.

Saffron: I am getting enormous "daddy said to be home by sundown :(" "daddy doesn't need to know ;)" vibes. Anyway, this was a really interesting dynamic. I feel like a lot of times in fanfiction, gay couples are portrayed as a perfect relationship between two pure smol beans uwu, so it was really nice to see lesbians that just aren't compatible. And even better, it wasn't even that one of them was a terrible awful person (though Rey seemed like a bad girlfriend), they just didn't have the same interests and values. I also appreciated that through this interaction, we were able to really get a grasp on Saf as a character. She's sheltered, a little guarded, and definitely not a risk-taker. My guess for her would be that she's probably going to join a small alliance and run away from the Cornucopia. She's another one that I could see allying with Piper.

Alarico: I think you did a really good job of balancing Spanish dialogue with the rest of Alarico's section. I was worried when you were telling me that he was bilingual because I... do not speak Spanish. But you wrote it in such a way that I don't think I missed out on anything. That aside, Alarico is okay. I feel like this section was a lot of information on his backstory and his family life, and while that's helpful, I don't really know anything about his personality at the moment.

camber: omg a little nerd! i love nerd tributes. they are a bit of a wanderer, maybe they have a lil bit of ADD. i think i like camber. reapings tend to focus on the backstory so obviously camber’s had to be about gender identity. the little tastes of their personality was promising though, so i’m hopeful about them.

sperry: OOF. district 6 is gloomy. orphan gets trafficked and leads very very depressing life. that is some sad shit. sperry does not have a CHANCE. i liked her reaping scene though. it was nice to see her break free. also i liked festus’s pov. she is obviously pretty broken, poor girl, but i just sympathize for sperry.

i hope there aren’t any more sex workers i don’t know how much more i can take

moira: WOW. i mean okay. talk about drama. her story is... a lot. so much trauma. the bodies are so wack. how did that even fucking happen. it’s just very bizarre to me. and then her sister dies and it’s like meh. tbh moira has way too much going on for me. maybe when her pov doesn’t have to be so backstory focused i’d get to know her better? but right now she’s just too much fam.

bell: another lil sexy guy. okay. him and eros are kind of similar in the way they love the lifestyle. bell also seems like he has less going on upstairs. he’s strong and has the academy backing him, so he will be a Career career. okay but he’s kind of the worst. he is vain and can give two shits about his family. he’s just unlikable. sorry y’all it’s gonna be a no for me

eros: hello eros. transgender tributes are pretty uncommon. i also find it surprising that eros would volunteer. i know he goes
to the academy, but it seems like his lifestyle is less of those commonly chosen to go into the games for d1. maybe he’s a little bit of a dum dum. he is alright! i have to see more of him to really like him.

fila: oof tell me why i love fila sm. she’s so cute. i feel bad for her with her mean ass parents. but she seems so sweet and good. i like her sm. she just drinking sum chocolate milk! she’s obviously physically capable too, so she isn’t going to just be the sweet but incapable career *cough hosanna* i am excited to see more of her!

kingston oooh, there's so much depth with this guy and i'm honestly loving him. i feel a bit of inadequacy with him; he's trying to make up for something he lacks, which is always quite an interesting motivation. for his sister, the shitty internal organs thing... chronic illness perhaps? anyways, him caring for his sister ugh it's so cute. i'm here for these kinds of careers. that is some nice depth that i'm loving, and it shows such a human dimension to him which i appreciate a tone. it's so cute his dynamic with Elizabeth and ugh. he feels overlooked but. he thinks that volunteering's gonna solve it? oh my sweet summer child. i feel like he's gonna regret this. he's probably one of my fav careers alongside eros. but his volunteering omg poor sis.

lana - this girl is a whole wild personality and... wow. she is a LOT. ritual of the waves... this is honestly something i haven't seem before in a syot, and it's so intriguing? they seem like a hedonistic crazy cult kinda thing, self-made, and i cannot. but er. "relieving stress" by drinking saltwater are they legit like sane? ...'painful death'... oh god. in conclusion lana's wildin' and she's gon have some fun or maybe not so much fun in the games.

magsss. shes having some crazy kids and. no clue what to say.

Challis - Bruh the first sentence was literally a mood in itself. He is a TROUBLEMAKER and he also doesn't give a shit and those are one of my most favourite archetypes? He's like the failing class clown who doesn't really care either and I love it. Challis is going to be SO entertaining in the Arena, and I really can't wait to see what happens with him; he's literally either gonna irritate his allies so much to death and I can't wait.

Teresa - I... I am speechless. Her entire POV was such a trip to read. "A faithful wife"... I... these power dynamics... "who was probably a homosexual"... "pegged a few times a week"... "dominating men"... my thoughts are incoherent. She also actually funnily has a lot of depth to her? Like she's been indoctrinated into the mindset of a faithful wife, and the only way she gets to step out of that role is in the bedroom. We'll see if she manages to step out of her roles in the Games... or she'll just be entertaining.

Poor Woof - having Logan come in at 2nd for WTP. And then now his tributes are literally useless in the best way possible. I can't wait to see what'll happen.

Etta - she seems like she has a huge guilt complex which she's lugging around her, which creates an interesting, albiet sad, internal conflict. And that little bit about Greek mythology... oh I like it. She wants to be a bit like a heroine... wants to dig out of the weight that's crushing her, and seeing her in the Games will be interesting to consider - especially with how this conflict comes to a head. Will the Games crush her? Or she will wiggle out of it and be free?

Morgan - Another dead mother, which makes me feel like he could get along with his DP quite well. But he feels like he's the provider of the family, and they have to rely on him, so if he goes into the Games everything will be changed; and that's different from Etta, but also kind of in the same vein, almost. They're both pressured in different ways. Dennis... ugh I don't like him, he seems like he's so done. And Lucy Gray! I was not expecting this reference, but honestly /yes/.

Piper - HORSE GIRL OMG. I am a fan. I love. I really love the lore that you give us insight in for District 10; especially for arranged marriages, the ranches, and more. She seems like she's slightly bitter or at least scorned by the fact that Elodie's her parents' "perfect daughter", but she also doesn't seem to care that she's not their perfect daughter; which is something interesting that I like.
