I like this one a lot. It really shows a side of Jane that I love, when he is realizing that he isn't alone, that there are people who are in his circle and care about him. I'm glad he admitted that Lisbon is his friend. Beautiful story!

I love episode tags and this is a very good one. Also, that moment when Jane turned round to see Lisbon's reaction was, for me, one of the most memorable in the series. Many thanks and lots more please.

I am not a writer or artist of any kind so I can’t judge- just sayin’. Here strictly for enjoyment and I did enjoy your reflections on the Pilot episode. Watched it recently actually, and that moment as the frog springs and he turns is so poignant in my mind. I think too it was the moment when we saw Patrick Jane cared, very early on. You are right - it set the stage. Happy to hear you are continuing.

Good vignette. I can readily imagine Jane struggling with whether friendship was a distraction he could afford from vengeance. As for the pilot itself, it foreshadowed virtually all major themes and dilemmas posed during the series. Glad you've decided to post fics here and I look forward to more. Thanks.
