This was wonderful; made me cry. I'm still here reading, I'm just having a hard time finding the kind of stories that really touch on the brother's relationship and the family business like back in the earlier seasons. While I've enjoyed many of the other seasons, it just seems like their relationship has been watered down with too many other characters and brother vs brother plot lines. Stories like this one are what I love.

You are absolutely a genius in dissecting everything that has remained ambiguous or unsatisfactorily explained on the show.
The four years (Two, as Dean says at the beginning, but it seems it was a script error) in which Sam and Dean never spoke to each other have always been madness for both.
I am sincere: the famous episode three hundred left me... unsatisfied. A great opportunity not fully developed. Moving meeting, okay, but with little substance.
Conversation like this would have done the whole season.
Such a thing would have been totally plausible to John, and I liked his attitude: basically repentant, full of remorse, but also ready to reiterate the need for his actions.
Vulnerable Sam, now only sad and tired, with no desire to get angry, and Dean who seems almost a betrayed child.

P.S. Do you really notice that the fandom is losing members? Personally, as for fiction updates, I keep finding many new works every day. Then of course, there was a sharp drop in fans after the twelfth season, I know, but I think Supernatural will be like Harry Potter: eternal for the fandom

Even if it took me a few days to get to this, I am really happy to see your posts! You are right, not too many still writing. I like this story and I think you write Sam and Dean together really well, especially the emotional stuff. I always love reading your bro-moments.

I actually really do like John and will admit he did some pretty seriously screwed up stuff, but I'm not sure I'm 100 percent convinced he would stoop this low. That's just my humble opinion though and I still very much enjoyed reading. Thank you for posting and I hope to see more from you.
