Hmm, I'm getting really curious about Phineas Black and what he may know about Cassandra's family. I mean, summoning a hellhound before the deaths and then that conversation with Norrange. I'm definitely feeling a little suspicious. That ending was super sweet though! I love that Cassandra just asked Constance outright. That kind of honesty is always a good thing, especially in a new relationship. Then that goodnight kiss! Cute and steamy! I'm loving this story. Thank you for writing and sharing :)

That nightmare was horrible! Poor Cassandra, finding out about her family that way. I'm so glad that she went over to see Constance, because it seemed like she really needed a break. I'm so curious about what happened to her family, but Cassandra's mental health is important and I think Constance is just what she needed! I'm really enjoying their developing relationship and looking forward to reading more.

Poor Cassandra. Those crime avenge photos sound awful, and it's clear that she has spent a lot of time studying them while trying to find answers. I was hoping that Norrange would be able to help, which I guess he did, but I understand Cassandra feeling let down. Also, I'm feeling like her old professor might not be as trustworthy as Cassandra thinks. Hmm. That ending was so beautiful. Nora's afterlife has really been tragic, so I loved seeing Cassandra being so kind to her. What about Constance's brownies though? Cassandra can't miss out on those! Even though she has definitely earned a nap after her disappointing day.

There was so much in this chapter! The mystery behind Cassandra's family is definitely intriguing, especially since Cassandra has become an expert in ghosts and demonology in an effort to solve their deaths. So I am very excited to see how that plays out. Then the dinner was so nice! I got worried when the cello music started, but then Constance suggested a dance and that was so incredibly sweet. I know it wasn't a date-date, but there's definitely chemistry between them. (Also, was the Phineas Black thing a Harry Potter shout out? Because that's immediately where my mind went lol)

Okay, I officially love Cassandra! She is so chill about all of the ghosts, whereas I would have immediately vacated the state. I like how kind she is to the ghosts. Allowing Moira to stay, telling Vivien that she can play whenever she wants, and speaking so gently to Nora. I can already tell that all of the interactions are going to be interesting, and I'm excited to see what happens next.

I really like the beginning of this! Cassandra seems like a very interesting character, and it's interesting to see little details about who she is. Also, I totally talk out loud when my dog is around and I'm sure that I would full on panic if I suddenly heard a voice. Cassandra is clearly braver than I am. Constance randomly popping in is so in character, and I'm looking forward to their future interactions and learning more about Cassandra.
