I kinda did think Aerith did sense Zack at that moment, because it was a heavy statement when she said she missed the steel sky, as if to answer Zack’s promise in CC to show her the real sky.
I am also really excited about where the Remake is taking us. I loved how they gave Zack a chance at life (in another dimension I guess?), and really hope the next installments have more scenes of Zack in it!

Maybe they did? Who knows what the guys at Square Enix are thinking sometimes. Those guys can be pretty brilliantly crazy with their ideas.

But, enjoyed the short story you wrote. I do agree with you regarding the future events of the games. I like changes, good or bad, still interesting to see and experience. Makes for a lot of good discussions. I hope your writing skills improve. Thanks for sharing this.
