Spike and Tyke could join Tom and Jerry in their adventurous mission to save their new friend Robyn Starling from her evil aunt Pristine Figg and reunite her with her lost and presumed-dead father. This alternate retelling will be partially based upon original drafts of Dennis Marks' screenplay for "Tom and Jerry: The Movie" (1992/93). As I've said previously, Spike and Tyke should be voiced by Spike Brandt and Saffron Henderson.

It does look similar to the actual version of the film. And I have no idea that Hank Azaria and Jason Marsden took over the roles of Tom and Jerry's speaking voices, replacing Richard Kind and the late Dana Hill, while Robyn Starling's voice was re-performed by Anndi McAfee.

Hopefully, this story will have other characters like Spike Bulldog and his puppy son, Tyke, and Tom and Jerry's relatives. And eventually, other voice actors could including Spike Brandt as Spike, Saffron Henderson as Tyke, Cathy Weseluck as Tom's sister Thomasina, Nicole Oliver as Baby Booties, Ellen Kennedy as Jerry's sister Geraldine, and Kath Soucie as Tuffy (or Nibbles, his original name). I like the start to this. I never had a problem with Tom and Jerry talking. I was expecting it when I saw the film since it was likely necessary since you can’t do slapstick first 80-90 minutes. But I agree with it being similar to The Rescuers and Tom and Jerry not being the main focus as an issue.

As for your story, you can probably stick with Robyn assuming she’s an orphan. Eventually you see Robyn warming up to both of them. Maybe you can have Tom and Jerry having a conversation about Tom finally having a human that actually likes both of them and he should stick around with Robyn especially since his previous owner seems to have no intentions on looking for him. Tom could admit to Jerry that he never had true intentions on catching Jerry but would chase him for fun or because his owner forced him to and to protect him from his alleycat friends, Butch, Lightning and Meathead. Maybe have Tom and Jerry have like a Shrek and Donkey like relationship. It’s your story so you make the final call.

Not bad, while I have to say, I always wanted to watch the original tom and jerry movie when I was little, and I managed to, but this is spot on, I really want to see more of this joey, and I wonder how the ending will be like?
