Wow. Katara has really turned even worse than Azula. Azula might hurt someone a tad bit but breaking the bones of a boy?

I love the Darker Katara you created in this story, to the point it's made me want to write my own lol. My only issue is the relationship you were setting up with the OC. It's just not something I really cared for personally as it didn't really contribute towards her character development through out the story. He just seemed like a character that was kind've there. to elaborate on that bit, cuz I'm not flaming, katara grew attached to the family over time. Azulon found her an instructor, and grew closer to her by sharing tea with him sent by Iroh. Ozai's caring nature towards her and the close relationship she built with the canon fire family and friends made her attached to them. The water Tribe prisoner's insulting of the family caused her to lash out with her Blood Bending, the first time her darker side is shown. Hama's attack on Azulon pushed her further towards this darker side. Her torture of prisoners became a regular occurrence cemented this more sadistic personality type towards enemy's with the Mad Twina assasination attempt showing her willingness to Bleed Bend compared to before. Azulon' and Lu ten's death, coupled with Ursa's disappearance, to me, seemed to make her more attached to the family she still had. None of these events required the OC at all. He was just like a side story that happened to be going on. I feel like he's almost more of a distraction from the main plot of the story. I personally feel like this Katara wouldn't have a relationship, being more focused on protecting her family and making her country proud. If she did end up with someone, I could see maybe Azula, because of how close they were growing up alongside her relevance to the events that took place or someone along those lines. But that bits just my opinion. Outside of that, I really enjoyed your story and greatly look forward to the sequel

Now, I suppose the biggest concern I have for the rest of this series is how it's going to be narratively justified that Katara can't just break all of Aangs limbs with blood-bending and drag him to Ozai once they find him.

Just binged it all, you weave a captivating story. Also, fire nation Katara is dope. I really like this idea, and the execution is flawless.

Katara is still going through with the plan it seems, despite what she's observed. And that comment at the end of the scene.. Chilling!
I loved the part with Sokka, Yue, Hahn, and Kyala. Huh, I wonder if Hahn will become very similar to how he was on the show, and if so, will he and Sokka remain such good friends? I hope so.
And I guess Kya's really not over losing Katara.. I understand why Sokka's upset about his family situation.. It's heartbreaking.

I really really love the tension between Sokka and Kya. It feels very realistic. I really appreciate how you write about Sokka’s experiences because they are just as interesting as Katara’s.

Hmm, I wonder if her stay will do any swaying to Katara's plans..
And Zhao, is that.. a little bit of concern for the princess..?

Now this is really good! Katara has been sheltered in the palace and now she will see the true impact of the war on people. It will be very sad but she needs it to grow and question the things she used to accept at face value.

i seem to remember an Authors note somewhere around this chapter saying you had lost power and that it was finally back? my question is were you in the middle of the derecho? if so what state are you in? im iowa and got hit which is why i am asking. i love this story by the way. its an interesting concept.

This chapter is what I've been waiting for, Katara's finally going to war and I can't wait until she's instilling fear in the hearts of her enemies.

(I wonder how high her kill count will be?)

I really love what’s you’ve done with Sokka. I love the time you’ve taken to show how different his experiences are from Katara’s. I can only imagine what will happen when they meet. I feel terrible for Hakoda. First he lost his daughter and now his wife. It’s still jarring for me to read how much Ozai cares for Katara. Also her with Zhao will be interesting to see.

Hmm, interesting that Katara may be joining Zhao.. I am curious as to what Ozai will say, and what he'll do about the general who insulted her.
Zuko and Azula may be jealous they weren't invited to the meeting I think..
Hopefully Iroh is spending some time with Zuko, he sounds like he needs a friend.
