That part of the episode where she watched Rusty's meeting with Sharon Beck was so heartbreaking and I am glad that you wrote a Shandy interaction around that episode and that particular scene. Honestly, Sharon Beck was a terrible mother. She didn't deserve Rusty. Thank you for this wonderful chapter. I hope you'll still be able to post after you go back to work.

Nice fill-in; I like the idea of Provenza enlisting Andy early on. And it drives me nuts that Amy is there when they pull the truck over, when she'd have had to stay at the scene of her action to be interviewed by FID, so I like that you addressed that.

I am loving the way you are telling the story according to the series and at the same time filling in the gaps and giving feeling to many things that the series did not explain ... a cuter moment was seeing Sharon feeling a twinge of jealousy by Andy

Sharon's kids being too young for the Sharon and Jack backstory to make any sense drives me nuts! As does trying to figure out how, even though Rusty has never met Ricky in all this time, Provenza and Andy have, enough for Ricky to call Andy by his first name, even. So thanks for creating this meeting, and I get a laugh out of Provenza having met him a couple of times as a boy, because while it could have just been at LAPD picnics or something, I like to imagine it was when Sharon couldn't get a last-minute sitter and had to take Ricky with him to go take Provenza's statement at the scene of a use of force.
