This is an interesting concept, that the old gods still exist in the world. But it's not at all that surprising since Fantasy Island has been shown to be the home of mermaids and other such creatures. I've always liked the ambiguity of the series itself, not knowing exactly who Roarke is, which was part of the mystique.
