So in a way, Shinichi is Sonoko's other best friend in terms of Rich Heir/ess and their ways lol. Also I love how you make Shinichi did not attend school in Japan until Middle School. That means he, Sonoko, and Ran is not the ridiculous childhood-friends-since-kindergarten-tripe like it was in canon. Good. There is no need for Shinichi to become a couple with someone, just let him have his best detective (and one thief) bes buddies.

I honestly would love to see a oneshot for this story where Heiji gets scared when he finds out that the Kudos own a bunch of guns. I don't know how this popped into my head but it just did and I think it would be funny if the boys found out the Kudos have their own arsenal.
