A short chapter, but a needed one. We get to see that Seteth does have a level head and is indeed a peaceful man, while Rhea...

Well, there was a reason i grew to despise her even before her reveal, and you showed that you understand who and what Rhea is and how/why she acts like she does. Hater her or not, I have to admit that.

You can't shoot anything other than arrows from a bow because of physics. Flaming arrows would work, but torches, knives and spears are totally out of the question. Even if someone managed to nock them to a string, they wouldn't fly like intended. If you wanted to shoot something akin to a spear, you'd need a catapult. And the methods for throwing spears or knives are very different from archery. It would have made more sense for Bernadetta to just throw a spear instead. Or use it in close combat, if that is a skill she has in this story. And even if she didn't, it would still be better than trying to defend herself with a bow.

You tend to overuse the word "would" in places where it shouldn't be used. Just so you know.

The whole thing Marianne getting mad at Dimitri for injuring a horse could make for an interesting idea later on in the story if you decide to have the story follow the game. Here's the idea: during the war phase, right after the three way battle between Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude's forces, Marianne sees Dimitri about to chase after Edelgard as she is retreating and she and her horse step in front of him in order to stop him. Dimitri, still consumed by rage, attacks Marianne for being in his way and injures her horse, after which a really angry Marianne proceeds to brutally attack Dimitri for almost killing her horse, only to be stopped from killing him by Byleth, Claude, Lysithea, Hilda, and Dedue.

I had a bit of a laugh at this one, I could see Hubert lashing out at Sylvain for his shall we say "brand of humor". Though I'd imagine he would be far more subtle about it than slinging explosives in front of several major witnesses.

I'm mainly posting to address something Sylvain said. You do realize you just had him jokingly recommend giving MARIANNE a knife right? You know, the character who spends much of her time clearly depressed? The one who admits in her supports that she prayed for her own death pre-timeskip? Daily? She says it in her A-support with Byleth.

I get that it's a potshot about the knife incident but this perhaps was in poor taste considering circumstance, I was surprised everyone in the room didn't shot the guy a glare at the very least. His comment WAS pretty beyond-the-pale considering who he was talking about.
