Reviews for Harry Potter and the Physical Adept
fireflashphoenix chapter 28 . 7/18
The time travel in the Harry Potter book is a third type, in my opinion it's the most 'plausible' time travel: deliberately ignoring the cursed child though.

It's a case of: what happened, only happened BECAUSE of time travel, in poa, the time travel changed nothing, because it had to happen for the timeline to occur at all

For example:
The Golden trio would have been caught at hagrids if the timetravelhermione hadn't thrown the stone, so tt wouldn't have happenedthey wouldn't have known to travel back and save sirius
Or
they'd have been attacked by Remus if tt hadn't distracted him, so tt wouldn't have happened, they'd have been too injured to do so
JasonOHason chapter 28 . 7/18
I found the first part of this story a while ago and have had it on my reading list a while, but just never seemed to get around to reading it. I've never played shadowrun, but I've played a lot of d&d and pathfinder so I get a lot of those references. I really wish I'd read it sooner though because it's great. I absolutely love this story and what you have done with everything. How you've sort of melded the worlds together while also keeping a lot separate. Liv is a great OC and I love this version of Luna. I originally had a problem with him giving up the invisibility cloak, but then when I too realized he can just use a spell for that easily, it made sense so good idea there. It really wouldn't have been in character by then for him to keep it. I totally understand why you need time before getting to the next, but know I'll be eagerly anticipating the next installment to see what else you do with all of this! Thanks so much for all you do! Stay safe, wear a mask, wash your hands. 3

I love this series.
You put so much work and preparation into each chapter and it shows. I have to wonder if Harry is ever going to unlock his magical core. It seems odd that he would show so little interest in a seemingly limitless source of magic even if he can't use it for physical enhancement. I can only guess that you are working towards a system where he uses astral power for combat and core based magic for utility. Otherwise I can only guess that his astral magic has locked his core up and that this is why he is not a horcrux since with out something to leech off of the soul shard dies.
I'm grateful for all of your hard work and looking eagerly forward for the next chapter.

HaikenEdge, thank you and your helpers for an imaginative, interesting, well written story. I'm very much enjoying your creative bend; somewhat dark yet handled with a ight, funny touch.
I'm sorry to lack corrective criticism, I am just enjoying your story too much. Thank you, and your team, for an excellent effort. Good work!

Just to say about tipping. It's only like that in America in Britain you are required to pay restaurant staff a living wage. Tips are extra for good service.

I have to say this is one of the best stories I've read in a long time. I can't wait for the next installment
Bearmauls chapter 28 . 7/9
I love that your version of Madam Longbottom is former SOE. Poor confused Hermione.
Bearmauls chapter 27 . 7/9
Isn't Harry concerned about the visual similarities between himself and Ginny with regards to their magical core? Feels like you described them similarly.
Bearmauls chapter 26 . 7/9
Looks like the horcrux is completely blocking Harry's magic, hence why he gets nowhere with a wand. That's a cool take on things.
Bearmauls chapter 25 . 7/9
That was a really fun and totally non-standard way to deal with the situation. I've seen a few stories where Harry kills Ginny to prevent Voldemort from coming back, but none where he does it with the specific intention to bring her back.
Bearmauls chapter 22 . 7/9
Harry really should be able to do better than a petrol generator. Surely there is magic or enchantments available to cause movement, which means he can have an electric generator running on magic SUPER easily. Hell, he could cast the enchantment on the flywheel of his generator and just not use any petrol.

Luna's continued use of Harry's random fake-names is adorable, but it does somewhat impact readability, as I need to remind myself who she is talking about.

Otherwise, a great chapter for character development.
Bearmauls chapter 21 . 7/9
I really like your interpretation of Rita, that was awesome!

Adopting Luna and her friendship with Liv is adorable. I'm torn, because Harry/Luna is also my favourite HP couple, and it's unlikely I'll get that here, given her history and said adoption, but it's adorable nonetheless. Plus, given Harry's situation, not sure he's even properly capable of the necessary emotions.
Bearmauls chapter 20 . 7/9
I always assumed a Pensive was actually a sort of divination magic, that used a person's memory as a link to generate a sort of retroactive vision of the event. That also explains how a Pensive would provide a 3rd person view of a memorized event.
Bearmauls chapter 19 . 7/9
I did not see you going that direction with Luna.
Bearmauls chapter 17 . 7/9
Recruiting is always fun.
