Cool idea but any interest in Azula and Ty-Lee as a couple in this fic is nuked, the betrayal, and then engaged to Zuko and pregnant. I don't think reconciliation is possible without making Azula a pathetic pushover.

So this story is absolutely brilliant! I loved reading every word, couldn’t put it down really.

I’m not usually one for a modern AU on this pairing, but everyone here was really in character. I suppose that’s the struggle with a modern AU. You nailed it though!

Every character shone with their best and worst qualities brought out by life and death. Some great one liners too. I loved it.

This satisfied my darkest desires and did so much with the AU that it was a great read and extremely impressive. A little fast paced and some of the action could have been extended, but it was powerful and poignant at all the right times, and intense and gruesome at all the right times too.

Maybe I'm just naive but I expected them all to survive so Zuko's death was so shocking for me. At least he died a hero and will be reunited with Iroh. I think my favorite trial was early on when Azula kicked ass saving Ty Lee from the private purge snatchers, but the House of Horrors satisfied this deep, gruesome part of me and Mai was such a BAMF during it.

Great fic and great ending!

This was a great story. Honestly better than any of the Purge movies (I haven't seen the show so I can't judge that). The last chapter and epilogue were a little fast paced for my taste but had good content. All of this was good content actually. Thank you so much for the regular updates and following through to finish it and finish strong.

I wish there was a second epilogue of the proposal and wedding.

Zuko and Azula's relationship was beautiful, Ty Lee and Azula's relationship was beautiful, Mai's role was refreshing and unique but still IC for her. I love the way the characters were themselves in their reactions to this situation so different from the show. Bravo.

I do wish in the epilogue I could see more of what happened to Mai but it was really sweet. Bittersweet, I guess, but sweet.
