Darry love and loyalty for his brothers is perfectly written. This whole one shot makes me think of that bible verse, what does it profit a man to gain the world but lose his soul? Darry knows the answer. Nothing.

I always wondered about Paul and Darry's relationship. In the book, Ponyboy thought that Darry was jealous of Paul and that he was ashamed to represent the greasers, but it was abundantly clear to me that that wasn't the case at all. I love that you expanded on that from Darry's point of view. It makes Two-Bit's line in the book: "You know, the only thing that keeps Darry from bein' a Soc is us," have a positive connotation instead of a negative one. Darry is proud of his brothers and the gang, and that's enough for him. You captured that perfectly in this little one-shot.
