Honestly if you want to rewrite this story then go for it, it all boils down to how you feel about your story like do you like where it is going, have you followed your own rules for it and other things like that. In all seriousness though if you feel like you want to rewrite it then I say rewrite it, it is your story so don't let someone else tell you how to do it after all do you think all those artis let people tell them how to paint their portraits unless it was of somebody important I highly doubt it
